UConn v. USF @ J.O.C. (Fri. 5/10 @ *3p*, *Sat. 5/11 > Double Header Gm 1 @ 11a/Gm 2 @ 2:45*)

Bottom 4th, Pat Winkel stranded on base after a 1 out ground rule double. 1-0 UConn.

Top 5th, Karl Johnson is in to start the inning. Hopefully you get two innings or so from him, and then it will be Dandeneau's turn.

If they lose this one they don't deserve to make the NCAA's. Beautiful day and you come out this flat at the plate?

Johnson got the job done today. He didn't have pinpoint control but made pitches when he needed to.

Johnson rarely has totally pinpoint control, but can still be effective despite all the walks he gives up. He and Mayock need to see more time on the mound, and provide some support to the Big Three of Wurster, Dandeneau, and Wallace.

I ask this in all seriousness. Do people truly not know any other adjective to describe the day/weather other than beautiful?

UConn goes down quietly in the bottom of the 6th. Angus Mayock in to start the top of the 7th.
