Top 9th, leadoff batter Polemeni draws a walk. Righi pinch hits for Thomas but strikes out for the 1st out. Polemeni steals 2B. Wachter follows with a 1 out single driving in a run, 3-2 UConn.

With 1 out Taylor gets hit by a pitch. Detwiler follows with a walk to load the bases. A 1 out wild pitch brings in a run and moves up the other runners to the next base. 4-2 UConn.

Finn is warming up in the bullpen.

Menzel draws a 1 out walk that loads the bases again. Marshall draws a 1 out walk which brings in a run.. 5-2 UConn.

Dalena grounds into a double play that ends the inning. 5-2 UConn.

Having 4 pitchers who seem reliable could be massive in tournament play...if we can get the bats going, that is.

This lineup is not as deep as in prior years, so we need to get healthy and stay healthy. Good road win.

Hopefully when we get healthy it can be. Im starting to like what I see in Polemini, Wachter and Taylor. Think they could round out the bottom of lineup nicely. Starting pitching does look very promising if they can limit the free passes.
