Bottom 8th, Meyers gives up a lead off infield single, the runner moves to 2B on a sac bunt for the 1st out. This is followed by a 1 out double that drives in a run. Game tied at 1.

Meyers retires the next 2 batters to end the inning with no more runs coming in. Game tied at 1.

Top 9th, Menzel leads off getting on base due to catchers interference, he moves to 2B on a sac bunt for the 1st out and moves to 3B on a fly out for the 2nd out. Dalena gets an intentional walk putting runners on the corners. The UConn offense has a scoreless inning. Game tied at 1.
 
Bottom 9th, Meyers has a quick 1-2-3 inning. Game tied at 1 as it goes to extra innings.

Top 10th, Wachter gets a 1 out single, he gets thrown out trying to steal 2B for the 2nd out. Cancel draws a 2 out walk. Thomas pinch hits for Jemison. The UConn offense has a scoreless inning. Game tied at 1.

Top 12th, a 1 out single for Polemeni, he steals 2B. A scoreless inning for the UConn offense, the inning ending with 2 strikeouts. Game tied at 1.
 
Bottom 12th, Meyers gives up a lead off double, the next batter is hit by a pitch. On a sac bunt, a throwing error by Dalena brings in a run. UNCW wins 2-1.
 
Don’t know what Penders is doing. We are not hitting at all. That is what it is. But for the second straight Saturday, we had a lead going into the late innings and he didn’t go to the bullpen for the best arm(s) we had available and ready to go. When you can’t hit a lick, it shouldn’t take analytics to do everything you can to protect a late lead when you have one. Very disappointed. So both Shaw and Finn are fresh, but we could lose or win by a large amount where they’re not needed

Not sure of Cancel trying to steal 3rd. Didn't watch game, did he really try to do that with 1 out. Doesn't make sense. He did have a good game however. Offense just no where to be found. Don't like all the caught stealings but I suppose I understand why when trying to steal a run when hits are at a minimum

I was watching on Flo… the consensus was that he thought the ball in the turf got by the catcher (have to be sure there)…
