You have to be a real trooper to play ball in the Northeast. I wonder how some of the Southern teams would fare if they visited us this time of year?

Bottom 2nd, after the 2 homers, with 1 out Dalena walks, and Shpur doubles to put 2 runners in scoring position. A Studley ground out brings in a run, 4-1 UConn.

Shpur's on base percentage is over .400 now. He gets a lot of walks, and with his speed and ability to steal bases it would not surprise me if he ends up being a leadoff hitter at some point if he keeps it up.

That should be a goal every single season

Wind has saved them and us one time so far. Some shots that would have been bombs yesterday.

Top 3rd, Coe gives up a 2 out 3 run homer to tie the game at 4.

Ooffff. Anything hit well to right is going bye bye today.

Bottom 4th, UConn offense with a scoreless inning as it leaves 2 runners in scoring position. Game tied at 4.

The wind is messing around with the outfielders. Especially center and right.

A little power and the wind are a dangerous combo today.

Coe with 6 Ks…problem is the 3 homers he’s given up. Only one of which was truly helped by the wind. See pic for wind.
