Top 6th, Quinn gives up a 1 out 2 run homer, 7-3 St. John's. After a ground out for the 2nd out, Quinn comes out of the game. Jack Sullivan takes the mound, and he gets the final out of the inning.
Bottom 6th, a leadoff double for Studley. With 1 out, UConn gets 2 more singles, including an RBI single by Tammaro. 7-4 St. John's. UConn offense loads the bases again with 1 out. Garbowski gets a 2 out walk to bring in a run, 7-5 St. John's. That is it for that inning for the UConn offense.
Bottom 7th, Studley with a 1 out walk, Shpur follows with a double that puts 2 runners in scoring position. Tammaro with a 2 out 3 run homer to put UConn in the lead, 8-7. Broadhurst follows with a walk, but is thrown out trying to steal 2B for the final out of the inning.
