Simmons getting a start at D.H. Malcom not in the lineup today. Surprised that he is leading off.
 
Top 1st, S. Quigley with a scoreless inning, he gave up a 1 out walk, the runner is thrown out trying to steal 2B for the final out. No score.
 
Bottom 1st, UConn offense with a scoreless inning after a 2 out infield single. No score.
 
Top 2nd, a lead off solo homer, 1-0 St. John's. S. Quigley leaves 2 runners on base.
 
I know a lot of you miss the radio broadcast, but it’s nice having CJ and Randy do the call on Flo Sports.

Not a good sign with no runs right there. Shpur to Simmons. Gotta get one there. I think Studley’s struggles are really affecting them overall….Hovering around .250, it seems like their moving him around the lineup but to no avail.

Bottom 6th, a leadoff double for Studley. With 1 out, UConn gets 2 more singles, including an RBI single by Tammaro. 7-4 St. John's. UConn offense loads the bases again with 1 out. Garbowski gets a 2 out walk to bring in a run, 7-5 St. John's. That is it for that inning for the UConn offense.

Bottom 7th, Studley with a 1 out walk, Shpur follows with a double that puts 2 runners in scoring position. Tammaro with a 2 out 3 run homer to put UConn in the lead, 8-7. Broadhurst follows with a walk, but is thrown out trying to steal 2B for the final out of the inning.

Afthim takes the mound in the top of the 8th.
