Top 4th, scoreless inning for Casparius, who now has 6 strikeouts on the game.
 
Bottom 4th, UConn loads the bases with no out. Ferrer with an rbi fielders choice ground out, runners at 1st and 3rd. 7-0 UConn.

So far looking like the mainstays of the UConn bullpen will be saved for the final 2 games the way Casparius is going today. That is certainly a good sign for the Huskies. UConn so far putting a hurting to what is considered a quality Seton Hall pitching staff, taking advantage of a bunch of Seton Hall mistakes.

Bottom 5th, UConn with the bases loaded and no out, Crawford gets 2 rbi's on a single to make it 11-0, with runners on the corners. Devenney pinch hitting for Ferrer. Devenney hit by a pitch, and Pat Winkel gets 2 more rbi's on a double. 13-0.

Top 6th, Maycock and Morton take over the corner outfield spots. Angus Mayock warming up in the bullpen. Seton Hall scores a run to make it 15-1 going to the bottom of the 6th.

Top 7th, Angus Mayock makes his first appearance of the season in a game on the mound. Good to see him back. Very nice day for Casparius.

One thing that the selection committee hopefully focuses on — we’ve only lost one home game all year, and are basically .500 on the road. The only thing keeping this from being a .750 team, for all its flaws, may be the schedule that between southern swings and Covid gave us a disproportionate amount of road games.

Anyway, we’re now 2 games from the conference championship. That’s goal number one. Get it done.

Chris Jones says tomorrow's UConn starter is TBA, so it is not necessarily automatically Joe Simeone.
