No CFed in first game...
His lat...In the postgame interview last night, Coach Penders indicated Christian Fedko had tweaked something late in the game.
Penders mentioned it happened between innings and was a freak thing. Too bad he's out of the line-up since he seemed to be turning his slump around. His lat...
I thought Hague would play SS and move Bushling to 2ndShocked that Langer will play second rather than Hague.

Top 1st, Casparius with a quick 1-2-3 inning.
Nothing to do whether or not coaches are “unimpressed”. Hague is not cleared to hit with a broken hand.Remember, Hague injured his hand, I think it was during a practice session before the Xavier series. For a while he could not play the field or hit, but he was used for pinch running. Last night he took over at second base after Christian Fedko got hurt. It may be that Hague has been cleared to play the field, but not yet to hit. Or it may be that they are that unimpressed with Hague's bat these days. Which to me is something, after hearing how good he was on the offensive side of the game during fall ball. Things really turned around there. I would expect if UConn has a lead somewhere in the middle innings or later, Hague could very well find himself on the field as a defensive replacement, something that could happen earlier in the game if he has been cleared to hit.
Are other folks unable to make the link to stats work? It’s not working for me.

Bottom 1st, UConn loads the bases with no outs. Pat Winkel grand slam with 2 outs!!! 4-0 UConn. Chris Jones breaks out the grand salami call.

Top 2nd, Langer with an excellent play on a pop up at second base in very shallow outfield, turns it into a double play. Casparius faces the minimum. 4-0 UConn.
Bottom 2nd, Brown with a lead off walk and stolen base, Bushling with a no out ground rule double to drive him in. 5-0 UConn.
Top 3rd, Casparius gives up a lead off walk, but then gets 3 strikeouts in a row. 5-0 UConn. Casparius at 41 pitches.
