UConn v. Michigan State 10/28 Exhibition > TV/Streaming ($) info released

My AMEX card just dropped a Peacock offer. It will credit back the Peacock monthly fee for the first two months. You can then drop it with no penalty. Offer expires on 12/26. So if you wait until the last day to activate, you will get the SJU game in Hartford.

Couldn’t help but notice Reed is pictured on the promo. Is he playing or was it created by someone who doesn’t know anything

Hurley said Reed will not play against Michigan State and they were hoping for the season opener against New Haven. So I'd expect he won't be back until the second game against UMass Lowell based on prior experience with Hurley and injured players.

If you have YTTV in Connecticut you will have free access to WFSB the local Hartford
affiliate for CBS.

For the folks looking to get a cheap deal on the 8 games on Peacock. You can sign up for a 3 month trial at $1.99 a month. And then cancel Pecock. You’ll only be out $6.00. Just google peaacock promo codes.
Not entirely true. I’m in Fairfield Co just south of Danbury. YTTV only gives us the NYC network affiliates.

I’m a half mile from the Suffield CT border and lost WFSB a few years ago. Sucks

Looked for the way to see the exhibition on UConn+. FOUND IT!

Huskies All-Access - Powered by SIDEARM Showcase - University of Connecticut Athletics

EDIT: PAID!
Thanks for the link. I created an account and paid for the game as well. Apparently you have to sign in and under the heading "Your Account" you can view your subscriptions.

This is what shows up for me:

Inactive Subscriptions

UConn Men's Basketball vs. Michigan State on October 28

This pass grants one-day access to view the UConn Men's Basketball exhibition game vs. Michigan State on Tuesday, October 28. This is a non-recurring charge. Valid for October 28, 2025 only.

I take it that it becomes an active subscription some time on October 28th. But there is no explanation that explains this or how to access the game via that link. Do you have any idea how it will work?

Same, also lists an annual sub for with a 20.00 credit.

There is also an offer for walmart + for 98 with a 49 credit back. Walmart + comes with a free peacock sub. So you get both for 49. Not bad if you can use walmart +.

I think the university could provide more information about UConn+ and how everything works if they want this medium to be successful. I had to hunt a while to find that link. It seems to me that the process could have been better advertised and explained.

This is my first time watching a paid game on UConn+. I believe all you have to do is log into your account and you should have access. Others have expressed the same concerns I have -- how does it work; will there be glitches. I wonder if I have to watch the game on a computer or will UConn+ give me access on my smart TV/Firestick. I watched The Wax production on UConn+. It wasn't bad, but it didn't bolster my confidence, either.

The prior game was on the app, gratis, and the broadcast was fine. I'm disappointed it's not in HD but none of our games are.

What do you mean by that last comment? All UConn games are in HD. You mean on UConn+?

I paid and received an email confirmation, but I don't see it as a video event on UConn+

Same. How hard would it have been to provide a link (or instructions on HOW to watch) in the email confirmation. So freakin' clunky.

It’s showing up as an upcoming video live event beginning 7PM on the UConn+ app on my Roku and my mobile device. I have no way of knowing if the sign in and payment process I did on my computer is recognized on my Roku app.

Edit: Can also get it on my computer.

Given the login gymnastics I had to do to pay via Sidearm sports and uconnhuskies.com, I'm expecting some issues logging in to watch this

The following steps will help you navigate how to watch the game on your computer.

If you have created a sign in and made a payment through this link:

Huskies All-Access - Powered by SIDEARM Showcase - University of Connecticut Athletics

clicking it again you will show you your one day subscription is now activated . (Step 1)

Click the Husky logo and the words "Huskies All-Access" on the upper left. That will bring you to uconnhuskies.com web site. (Step 2)

Click the box with UCONN + on the upper left. (Step 3)

In the upper bar click the calendar symbol (the symbol closest to the Husky logo of the five symbols to the right of the logo) and that will bring up the calendar of UConn sports. Go to October 28th on the calendar and click on the mens bb (ball icon MBB) and that will bring you to the event and the box to watch the game.

For an iphone follow the first three steps which will bring you to two boxes under the UConn heading. The box on the left (red) is highlighted "Stories". Click the right non highlighted box which has the word UConn+. It will turn pink after clicking it.

That will bring you to a new screen. Scroll down to Huskies Schedule and you will see the game listed. Don't know what happens after this because clicking on it currently does nothing. I imagine when it's 7 PM clicking it will bring you to the game.

The UConn+ app on Roku shows the game will be available for both video and audio. I have no idea if my subscription will allow me to activate it on the Roku. Keeping my fingers crossed.

hey all, quick q -
not really a bball follower but i like uconn.
seeing as how this is an exhibition, does that mean there are zero consequences for either team losing?

or does this still carry some weight/risk to it?

Not sure if the WFSB+ app will work for this game, however it is free and does indicate: WFSB+ is your live, local free source to stream Channel 3 24/7.
