You missed it. I'll let you know when it comes up again. The info was all over the Boneyard at the same time the Peacock announcement came out. This reminds me of that old joke about the old lady who kept denying aid during a flood because He would save me. Then she meets her maker and asks "Why didn't you save me?" He says, "Look lady, I sent the neighbors, the police, the boat, the helicopter..."
 
Has anyone received their Hartford season tickets yet? Haven't heard anything from the school yet and we're five days away from this game

FYI, Just learned that our United Visa card comes with Peacock for free.

I recommend checking all of your credit cards for offers. For example, my Amex card gives me a credit for Walmart's service that gets me free shipping. That Walmart service gets me free Paramount+. It's a pain in the butt, but it's worth checking for all these things.
 

UConn men’s basketball exhibition against Michigan State to air on WFSB​

STORRS, Conn. (WFSB) - The UConn athletics department and WFSB have announced that the men’s basketball exhibition contest against Michigan State on Tuesday, Oct. 28 in Hartford will air locally on WFSB Channel 3.

The game will also be available streaming on UConn+ for a one-time fee of $7.99. Coverage will begin at 7 p.m. with the new WFSB/WWAX UConn Basketball pregame show before a scheduled tip of 7:30 p.m.

While the contest will not count towards official records, the Huskies and Spartans have split eight games in their series history. The teams most recently played in the 2021 Battle 4 Atlantis. Michigan State’s last visit to Connecticut came on Dec. 5, 1998, an 82-68 victory for No. 1 UConn at Gampel Pavilion.

The exhibition is part of a two-game series with a return trip to East Lansing scheduled for 2026. WFSB and WWAX are the official media partners of UConn Athletics.

If you have Walmart+ you also get peacock for free as well.

I may have to pay, am I thrilled - no, but... I pay $85/mo during the season for YTTV, if we get 8 games a month that's more than $10/per... so, its cost isn't really out of line. I'd still like to try spoofing my YT into allowing me to watch the coverage though since it is supposed to be included.

If you have YTTV in Connecticut you will have free access to WFSB the local Hartford
affiliate for CBS.

For the folks looking to get a cheap deal on the 8 games on Peacock. You can sign up for a 3 month trial at $1.99 a month. And then cancel Pecock. You’ll only be out $6.00. Just google peaacock promo codes.

One more point to make. The first game on peacock is December 5 and the last game is on Feb 25. If you wait until dec 3 or dec 4, you can watch 6 of the 8 games during the 3 month promo. The two games you’d miss is Gtown and SJ. And I’ll find another way to watch SJ at a bar or friend.

For the Visa we went in to the card’s app and looked up the offers and it had instructions. Not sure about the Walmart process.

My AMEX card just dropped a Peacock offer. It will credit back the Peacock monthly fee for the first two months. You can then drop it with no penalty. Offer expires on 12/26. So if you wait until the last day to activate, you will get the SJU game in Hartford.

Hurley said Reed will not play against Michigan State and they were hoping for the season opener against New Haven. So I'd expect he won't be back until the second game against UMass Lowell based on prior experience with Hurley and injured players.

Not entirely true. I’m in Fairfield Co just south of Danbury. YTTV only gives us the NYC network affiliates.
 
I’m a half mile from the Suffield CT border and lost WFSB a few years ago. Sucks

Thanks for the link. I created an account and paid for the game as well. Apparently you have to sign in and under the heading "Your Account" you can view your subscriptions.

Same, also lists an annual sub for with a 20.00 credit.

There is also an offer for walmart + for 98 with a 49 credit back. Walmart + comes with a free peacock sub. So you get both for 49. Not bad if you can use walmart +.
