Just got done with a little landscaping project playing with wood chips in the dog pen. As Chris Jones said on WHUS, the nightmare scenario with Gardner unable to throw strikes and LIU taking a 3-0 lead, and with Cate coming into the game early. So much for trying to save him for tomorrow, he is needed today. UConn now has a rally going on in the 4th with 2 runs in.
 
Fedko double ties the game at 3. Offense is finally making an appearance in this regional, hope it sticks around for awhile.
 
Tied at 3 going to the bottom of the 4th. Up to Cate to hold the Blackbirds off for now.

LIU pitching change starts the top of the 5th. Their top bullpen guy, according to Chris Jones.
