Bottom 4th, Daniels draws a 1 out walk. Biller hits a 2 out double, Daniels is thrown out at the plate for the 3rd out. 1-0 UConn.

Given the number of pitches West has thrown so far in this game, it would not surprise me if the 5th inning is his last inning on the mound today.

Bottom 5th, a leadoff walk for MacArthur followed by a double by Dougherty that puts 2 runners in scoring position. Lane follows with a no out double that drives in 2 runs, Lane is thrown out for the 1st out trying to reach 3B. 3-0 UConn.

Top 6th, Hutchinson gets a lefty batter out for the 1st out, and then comes out of the game. Shaw takes the mound.

After a strikeout, Shaw gives up a 2 out single, and then gets another strikeout to end the inning. 3-0 UConn.

Bottom 6th, a leadoff infield single by Shpur followed by him stealing 2B. Daniels draws a no out walk. A fielders choice ground out for the 1st out and a throwing error brings in a run, and Minick ends up at 2B. 4-0 UConn.

A 1 out single by Biller drives in another run, 5-0 UConn.

Biller is thrown out trying to steal 2B for the 2nd out, after which MacArthur is hit by a pitch and Dougherty follows with a single. They are left on base.

Bottom 7th, a leadoff double by Padilla, followed by an RBI single by Rispoli, 6-0 UConn.

Rispoli moves to 2B on a Shpur sac bunt for the 1st out. Daniels and Minick follow with a walks to load the bases. A sac fly for the 2nd out by Biller brings in another run and puts runners on the corners, 7-0 UConn.

Minick steals 2B, but that is it for the UConn offense this inning. 7-0 UConn.

Top 8th, Caruso strikes out a lefty batter for the 1st out, then comes out of the game. Finn takes the mound.

After a strikeout for the 2nd out, Finn gives up a 2 out triple, followed by a double which drives in a run, 7-1 UConn.

A fly out ends the inning.

Xavier beat Creighton. So congratulations to the UConn Huskies, 2025 Big East baseball regular season champions. Creighton can still tie UConn, and earn the #1 seed in the tourney by sweeping their 3 games next week, but UConn being champions — and not having been beaten in any Big East season since returning the conference — remains a thing.

Just wondering why UConn would be the BE Champs if Creighton sweeps G'town? They would have identical records, but Creighton won their head to head 2-1.
