With 1 out Dalena is hit by a pitch and Thomas gets a single. Jemison pinch runs for Dalena. On a fly out for the 2nd out, Jemison advances to 3B, so runners are at the corners. Detwiler pinch hits for Belisario and strikes out to end the game. Arizona wins 5-4.

I was thinking same thing. Going for series win throw your best in 8th. Did see some positives from the offense. Hit the ball hard, just a big park

They were pretty firm in using Afthim for only the 9th last year. I don’t love that in college ball. I like bringing in the big pen arm to get tough outs late - like facing 2,3,4 in the 8th & not closing the game if they are 1 inning guys.

Game was lost in 1st inning. 2 runs without a hit.

Two years ago they limited Brady to one inning appearances. Last year, absolutely not. Finn went multiple innings all the time last year, and you have to give him teh ball there. You might lose by 8 runs tomorrow, or win by 8, and then you’ve “saved” him for next Friday night. Between that decision and the incredible over aggressiveness on the base paths, we need better decision making right now in addition to better play. Shout out to Suchy though, who despite the start was great.

Must win today. Can’t let the opportunity for a series win slip away.
 
Let’s hope that Pudvar learned from his outing on Thursday and has a great start today.

I can’t get this game in Mix, Stats, or ESPN

Anybody else having problems?
