Top 5th, after a 1 out single by Lane, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning which ends with a double play. 1-0 UConn.
 
The offense has been awful this year. Help Lane out!

Hale comes out of the game, Pudvar takes the mound. Hale had thrown 95 pitches in this game, so it is not a surprise that he might have been getting tired.

Pudvar gets a ground out on the 1st batter he faces to end the inning. 3-1 UConn.
 
Top 7th, with 2 out Righi pinch hits for Polemeni and gets a single. A scoreless inning for the UConn offense. 3-1 UConn.
 
Righi stays in the game in RF. Pudvar remains on the mound for now.

Both leadoff walks have scored for them. Have to avoid that at all costs. Continues to kill us
 
Top 8th, the lead off batter Rispoli is hit by a pitch, he moves to 2B on a sac bunt for the 1st out. Marshall is intentionally walked, and Dalena gets a walk to load the bases with 1 out. The runners are left on base. Game tied at 3. The last 2 outs of the inning were on strikeouts.

The first 7 innings we were able to limit the offensive strike outs. Now in the 8th and 9th we have struck out 5 straight times
