The offense has been awful this year. Help Lane out!

Bottom 6th, Hale gives up a 1 out walk and a 2 out single. A run scores on a double. 3-1 UConn.

Hale comes out of the game, Pudvar takes the mound. Hale had thrown 95 pitches in this game, so it is not a surprise that he might have been getting tired.

Pudvar gets a ground out on the 1st batter he faces to end the inning. 3-1 UConn.
 
Top 7th, with 2 out Righi pinch hits for Polemeni and gets a single. A scoreless inning for the UConn offense. 3-1 UConn.

Bottom 7th, Pudvar walks the lead off batter, the runner moves to 2B on a sac bunt for the 1st out. A 2 out double drives in a run. 3-2 UConn.

Another 2 out double drives in a run, the game is now tied at 3.

After an intentional walk, Pudvar comes out of the game. Shaw takes the mound.

Shaw gets a pop out from the 1st batter he faces to end the inning. Game tied at 3.

Both leadoff walks have scored for them. Have to avoid that at all costs. Continues to kill us

The first 7 innings we were able to limit the offensive strike outs. Now in the 8th and 9th we have struck out 5 straight times
 
Bottom 9th, after a 1 out single and a 2 out stolen base., Shaw has a scoreless inning. Game tied at 3, going to extra innings.

Bottom 12th, Shaw gives up a 2 out single on which the runner reached 2B, followed by a double that drives in a run. 6-4 UConn. Shaw comes out of the game. Finn takes the mound.

Finn gets a strikeout to end the inning and the game. UConn wins 6-4, getting its first win of the season.
