I think our kids were tired. Having 3 key players including KLS playing hurt and play 3 games in 3 days is tough.I don't know - did you think UCONN played really well in the 4th Q? Were we tired? Our subs certainly were not in the game so it was all starters, yet USF took it to us. do you think Geno will look at the game tape of the 4th Q and say "this is how we want to remember the game and this is how we want to play"? So yeah, forgettable in that it wasn't a great quarter for them...
I'm with you. We finally found something to dislike about Gabby. Pineapple pizza??? Wrong answer! We may have to revoke her "old soul" card.Good prep for the NCAAs; UConn will definitely meet some "physical" teams. It seemed to me Chat was piling on Pheesa, but she made some key shots. Memorable performance by injured Gabby Williams. KLS has been unconscious during the season; I hope her tournament slump does not continue. Can we still count on Kia's offense if she has to expend a lot of energy on a top quality shooter like Laksa? Z is great but the greatness is dependent on great passes, especially from Gabby. Gabby: the fruits of veganism does not mean pineapple pizza!

I like my fruits and veggies too but you don't put pineapple on pizza. If you want a pineapple pizza feel free to get a loaf of wonder bread.Gabby is vegan so I'm sure she loves her fruits and vegetables!

I'm not saying she isn't petulant. I'm saying she has accuracy and range.Just my humble opinion, but we were behind the USF bench and I concluded that Laksa comes off as a petulant little brat. I saw a little of it in yesterday's game but it was on full display tonight. She pouted her way through the entire awards ceremony. As UConn was receiving their awards Laksa left the bench and stood behind her team. On off the USF assistants had to fetch her and tell her to join her team mates.
I guess I'm just a pizza purist. Not surprising, given that I live 4 blocks from the original Sallys and the original Pepes. How about a compromise? Extra cheese pizza with a side order of pineapple.Gabby is vegan so I'm sure she loves her fruits and vegetables!

I would say Gabby also qualifies for game changing too. She impacts the game all over.Yes. It’s tough to choose between the game-changing play of Azurá, and the pure courage of Gabby. They are separate categories for me.

You are one tough customer! LOL
I'm vegan like Gabby and I still love my pizza - but no, I don't put pineapple on mine!
EricLA I agree it wasn't a good 4th quarter. You could almost feel the difference in the game. Part of it was Auriemma slowing things down, part of it was fouls committed and part of it was the continued poor (probably too harsh) shooting. I don't know about tired. Jose's team was on the floor for the entire game. In the last quarter they just seemed to have more energy and Laksa was making some shots.
Now we'll probably both be banned for being whiners. I saw Husky Nan's post about mustering the torches and pitchforks.
I eat no meat pizza all the time. Peppers and mushrooms, asparagas tips, tomatoes, onion and cauliflower. I also like artichokes, olives and broccoli. But I gotta' have cheese. I also like shrimp and lobster but I guess that doesn't meet the vegan restrictions.
Lou has been playing on a bad ankle for several games. Seems to be getting worse. But after awhile I kind of felt for Lou and Gabby. Gabby had to be in there while limping around like a elder, while Lou just couldn't shoot her way out of one of her worst shooting nights.

Florida State kept UConn out of the ACC. They are the epitome of evil (along with BC)Am I completely crazy (don't answer that), or did I hear the "Seminole War Chant" faintly in the background early in the 3Q during the game broadcast on TV???
It's OK with me. Florida State is one of my other favorite teams.
Wow, I'm learning a lot. What started out as a lark has turned into an education.Nope - we don't eat any animal products. But I will tell you that there is a great place where I live that makes me a mushroom and roasted eggplant pizza and it's so good I don't miss the cheese. Plus I've found some great alternatives..
Laksa makes some incredible shots, no doubt, but her percentage against great teams, turns into a good shooter for my money. Same goes for Ogunbowale.Gabby was all-world.
We missed at least 6 layups.
I still think Laksa is a great shooter. She helped cut the deficit in the 4th.
PS. How do you get the accent for the a in Azura? I used to know...
I think Z was the player of the tournament. Gabby was the player of the game. I'm embracing the millennial mindset where everyone gets a trophy. Lol. 3 games in 3 days! A win is a win!!! No need for unrealistic expectations. They are now the only undefeated team. Something to celebrate.
