Jimmy Wang has 33 pitches through 3 innings, so he is having another efficient start.

Wang and the defense both standimg tall. I believe only CJ is available out of the pen today among our big 3, so Wang's performance is clutch.

At this rate we may not need CJ!

2 on, 2 out for Winkel. Here's another opportunity to get that batting average up.

Popped up to end the inning. Winkel is hitting in the same general range as last season, just a little lower. His power is up a little. However, the big problem for him is his on base percentage is down a bunch from last season. Before the game it was at .269, which is pretty poor in my book. 3 walks on the season will do that to you. To me the most significant offensive thing in baseball for a player is the ability to get on base, so that is no small thing.

Bottom 5th, another scoreless inning for Wang. He's at 67 pitches. 8-0 UConn.

If he continues to pitch well, how long do you keep Wang in the game? 6 innings or 7 tops?

Top 6th, Langer on base for the third time today with his second walk. Nice day for him.
