Baby Fed do doooo do do-do do Baby Fed do doooo do do-do do

Finally strikes out after a long at bat. Finish them.
On a foul tip into the glove. He wasn't going down without contact.

Bottom 11th, Chiovitti moves to center field, Woodworth to 2B. Kind of standard operating procedure for UConn when they are ahead in the last inning.

Lot's of praise for Wurster, and for Prato and how Penders has complete trust in his base running instincts. Also, at bats were better, but nothing seems to be falling in, and UCF just isn't issuing free 90's in this series. Also, talks how no one on this team is exempt from laying down a sac bunt in key situations.

HookC Evens Series at UCF in Extras, 3-1

Notes
  • The Huskies move to 2-0 in extra-inning games this season.
  • Anthony Prato (31 games) and Mike Woodworth (22 games) extended their reach base streaks with singles in the 11th inning.
  • Caleb Wurster has not allowed a run in his last 8.1 innings pitched (six appearances).
  • Jake Wallace has not allowed a run in 12.1 consecutive frames (seven appearances).

You can say a lot of things about the UConn offense, but it is rare to find three players in a lineup with on base percentages of over
Shouldve just slid into home, running back to third was a guaranteed out. He had a better chance of knocking the ball loose at home. From my view above the Huskies dugout.

Which is also pretty much what Penders said in the postgame interview as well.

Looks like Jaylyn Whitehead is throwing for UCF today. 10 appearances (2-0) w/ 4.50 ERA over 22 IP.

Another split attention day.

Trio of Phillips, Langer, and Nucerino remain in the lineup.
