Zac Susi was a fine hitter by his junior year, but if Pat Winkel continues to improve, my god, he could be so much better than Zac at the bat. Time will tell.

The decline of Chris Winkel and Moriarty at the plate, combined with the struggles of Kyler Fedko this season are big reasons for the offensive disfunction in my mind. UConn gets pretty much no offense at 3B. Injuries to Pat Winkel and Nucerino haven't helped as well, and it slowed the development of Pat at the bat.
 
Decent try by the offense (which has shown life) but we go to the bottom of the 8th. 8-4 UConn.
 
Tulane gets an rbi single to make it 8-5 UConn with 2 out in the 8th. Jake Wallace coming into the game.
 
9th inning UConn defensive moves. Woodworth to 2B, Chiovitti to CF, and Kyler Fedko to RF. Good to see Fedko able to play.
