Caught Durrell Robinson's carry for Auburn in the 4th quarter tonight against Baylor.
Three yards on an off tackle slant with his arm extension getting the third yard. Injuries to a couple guys got him in. I thought he should have tried to go outside but it all happened very fast.
Auburn lists him as a 6 foot, 207 pound, Sophomore.
I thought we had him listed under 6 feet and wonder how he could be a soph. One year at Charlotte and one with us. I thought all the extra years were gone except for Fagnano......

He only played 4 games at Charlotte, so he is a redshirt sophomore. UConn listed him as a redshirt freshman last year.

well, I do question these players transferring sometimes here is example of after having such a good year, He is buried in a lineup and gets one carry in a rushing dominated offense?
I wondered where he might land on the depth chart. Third I think, but all it takes is an injury to open it up for him.
It's a long season so we'll see how it works out.

In fairness, he was going to be in a timeshare here, too. He probably thought Auburn would use him similarly to how we used him last year. Whoops.

He’s a very good player but RB is not a concern for us.

There are some really good backs ahead of him. He had a toe issue earlier but has turned a bunch of heads in practice and camp. I think his role will grow.

I agree Zoo. Time will tell.

I still wish he had stayed for us and for him too - but I will be rooting for him to do well except if we see him on the field :)

Still think he woulda been RB1, coulda had a shot at the league if he stayed. I’m sure the money he was offered was life changing though.

I know he’s down the DC now but he is probably playing the long game. Football is not like Bball, next yr he’ll be a jr with a most likely increased work load and if not in 2yrs if he stays he has a shot at being the feature back on an SEC team. That’s worth the gamble. Yes he could have been a stud here for 2/3yrs but he has a chance to be the guy at an SEC team in a yr or two. Which has more value? Who knows.

We were giving a timeshare? At Auburn he gets the whole condo!

He took the higher offer to be a depth player at Auburn and he knew that. Maybe there are injuries or fumble problems and he moves up the depth chart. Or, he gets his chance to be a significant contributor next season. In my opinion, since most of the players will not play in the NFL, you should take the highest offer while you are healthy.

The problem with "next year" is Auburn might not prioritize getting you back if you spent all season as the third string. You also run the risk of being recruited over with elite programs like that.

I'd take the money in his position as well, but I'm still not convinced the grass is greener unless you're starting at the new place.
