UConn @ The Citadel (Fri. 3/9 @6p, Sat. 3/10@2p, Sun. 3/11@1p & Mon. 3/12 was canceled)

The Citadel gets a run on a squeeze play to make it 2-0. Holmes then gets a strikeout to end the inning.

Moriarty and Woodworth leave the bases loaded to end the threat. The good news is the game is tied at 2 going to the bottom of the 6th. Holmes stays in to pitch.

Bottom 7th, a 1 out 2 run homer off of Holmes makes it 4-2 for the Citadel. Jake Wallace coming in to pitch with 2 outs.

Top 8th, Stefanski pinch hits for Moriarty, but grounds out to end the inning with no runs for the Huskies. Stefanski stays in to play CF, Woodworth to 2B, Fedko to 3B. Wallace stays in to pitch the bottom of the 8th.

Wallace gives up a double, but retires the side. UConn needs 2 runs to tie it in the top of the 9th.

Well, at least the game is over. I’ll be hearing “ Do your job” in my sleep.

We're a fly ball happy team. The few times we could have used it today with a guy on third and less than 2 outs of course we didn't get it. Free passes by the pitchers did us in on that side.

Game tomorrow is scheduled for 3pm. There is supposed to be some rain tomorrow morning, so Chris Jones was thinking that the game time could shift to a little later in the day. Jones also said that starting pitchers for both sides for tomorrow are still to be determined.

The team having to place the first month of their season on the road in the south really stunts any progress we can make. These losses are gonna kill 'em if they don't win the AAC Tournament.

According to the Citadel website, the game has been cancelled? Now if the weather was that bad today, makes you wonder why they wouldn't have played a doubleheader yesterday. Makes no sense.
