UConn Tenn thoughts

So tonite Miss St @ Tenn on SEC + if you want to get a look. UConn is favored by 24+. I dont think we have a problem. Tenn hasnt seen a defense like UConn and imo wont be prepared for it. No team can prepare for it. I am very confident UConn wins this game and wins it big barring any key foul trouble and injuries. I expect Serah and Blanca to be back as I believe Geno kept them out of the Xavier game for precautionary reasons. I dont see Tenn scoring 60 pts in this game and I dont see Tenn keeping UConn from scoring under 70pts in this game. If Tenn is sloppy, making TOs and UConn stealing the ball this game will be over in the first half. I expect everybody to step up in this game.

UConn needs to get healthy. This is a game on why the top players come to UConn. UConn will be focused and their execution on both sides of the ball will shine. UConn plays like the ultimate team.

Tennessee is long and athletic as usual.........if they are "on" they can compete with anybody.........comes down to UConn's press doing damage, their half-court defense not allowing Tennessee to hit easy threes and control of the defensive boards.........could be a pretty close game or an easy victory..........I'm certainly hoping for the latter......

Someone had mentioned in another thread regarding TN that they've moved away from it a bit. I'll be watching the game tonight, and I haven't watched them since the Barclay's games, so I'll be interested to see how they have evolved.

With the emergence of KK knocking down shots and suffocating D and Blanca bringing terror when she steps on the floor and Allie emerging as a great shooter and all round players and Serah and Jana fighting in the middle and Ash and Kayleigh just playing like an animals well UConn is not where we expected them to be but theyre gettin there and you know what... Sunday they will be on display for the entire country to see. This just helps Sarah and Azzi to get more open shots and if they dont get open then somebody else will be open and thats enough to win.

I agree with this caveat- It's not about them being on, it's about them having open shots. that is what Louisville's press did to them. There is a big difference between shooting a 3 when open and with KK, Kayleigh, Ash or Azzi in your face.

I really hope Blanca plays. This game may be the perfect stage for her talents. Tennessee tries to create chaos and that is exactly Blanca’s element.

Yeah. The big thing that happened in the Louisville game is that they had a really hard time with the Louisville press and then mentally, they seemed like they gave up. You could see it in their play, their body language. It was bad.

I jsut heard on CH 3 that Serah will be back but they are not so sure about Blanca. We'll see.
