Ugh- wasn't that the game UConn lost to Tennessee that year? The championship was a lot more fun. Schuie with what seemed like 27 blocked shots and backdoor cut after backdoor cut.

One of things I recall from watching the 1995 championship game fairly recently (which I realize isn't the game that was just on) was that Chris Dailey was in tears. Can't imagine that now. Everything's so old hat.

Why don't they ever show the 2003 regular season matchup between UConn and the LVs? I've wanted a copy of that game for the longest time.

I have a copy of the 2003 regular season game... but it's vhs and, for some reason, the volume is wicked low.... But it's a lot of fun to watch!

Why don't they ever show the 2003 regular season matchup between UConn and the LVs? I've wanted a copy of that game for the longest time.

I can cut you a DVD of the game if you want.

those games were classics. for a while, UCONN held a 13-6 edge over them. i think Tennessee won the last 3 games they played against us. but i'm betting UCONN is one of the very few schools that has a big time winning record over them. there really is no other rivalry out there in WCBB like the UCONN-Tennessee rivalry. it's the Yankees-Red Sox, or Duke-UNC rivalry in WCBB.

i'm not sad we don't play each other any more as much as disappointed for the rest of WCBB. no matter how much hype you see for UCONN vs. Stanford, or Baylor, or ND, i don't think it has the sheer aura of the battles between orange and blue...

sounds like a great off season rainy saturday afternoon project....I wish they would show more of these...
