UConn @ Seton Hall - Fri. 3/24 @3p, Sat. 3/25@11a & Sun. 3/26 @11a

Seton Hall picks up a run off a sac fly in the 8th, making it 3-1 in their favor. Huskies coming up for the top of the 9th.

Amazing how often UConn offense makes some noise late in games, whether or not they win.

Toppa reaches 1B on an error, runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 out.

.-.
Krueger walk, bases loaded for Prato.

Prato pops up, Seton Hall wins.

Guess I'll have to content myself with watching UConn women's basketball trying to beat UCLA.

That Feldstein sequence was killer.

We won the game we were least likely to win, then dropped the game we were most likely to win. Monster game tomorrow.

Why swing on a 3-1 count when the pitcher was clearly having control issues?Ugh

I was thinking the same thing. Take a pitch. It's either ball 4 or a strike which results in a 3-2 count and all the base runners are on the move.

We need to win today. Mason's command will be the key factor of today's outcome.

I suspect it is a key start for Mason Feole today. If he has another shortened performance today the week before the conference schedule kicks off, Penders may be tempted to put Domnarski again in the weekend starting rotation.

Coach Penders in the post game interview yesterday indicated that he thought Troy Stefanski's bat was starting to come around. With Keith Krueger not providing much offensive help, kind of figured Stefanski would get more looks in center field.

.-.
Bottom 1st, Feole allows a two out walk, then strikeouts the next batter to retire the side. No score.

Need to hit this guy. 7.27 ERA...

Seton Hall pitcher Shane McCarthy certainly off to a bad start, but he has been quite good the previous two seasons with ERA's under 3 in both seasons. According to Chris Jones, he had been Seton Hall's Friday pitcher before his troubles this season and has pitched quite well against UConn in the past. Just hope he doesn't return to his previous form in this game.

2nd inning, Feole allows another two out walk, but gets three strikeouts to retire the side. So far he has 5 strikeouts, 2 walks.

Feole is doing well so far today. Easy 1-2-3 inning for Feole in the 3rd.

Bases loaded in the 5th, and Feole gets out of it with another strikeout, I believe his 8th on the game, a new career high. Feole has over 100 pitches on the game, so I expect UConn will have a new pitcher in the 6th.

Top of 6th, a Yahn double drives in Winkel and Prato to give UConn a 2-0 lead. A Susi single makes it 3-0 with UConn still up.

Awesome, gutty effort by Feole. 1 hit vs. 8 strikeouts...

Offense finally strikes but frankly owe our pitching at least 1 more run here. Rough day for Feldstein.
