We need to win today. Mason's command will be the key factor of today's outcome.

I suspect it is a key start for Mason Feole today. If he has another shortened performance today the week before the conference schedule kicks off, Penders may be tempted to put Domnarski again in the weekend starting rotation.

Coach Penders in the post game interview yesterday indicated that he thought Troy Stefanski's bat was starting to come around. With Keith Krueger not providing much offensive help, kind of figured Stefanski would get more looks in center field.

Bottom 1st, Feole allows a two out walk, then strikeouts the next batter to retire the side. No score.

Need to hit this guy. 7.27 ERA...

Seton Hall pitcher Shane McCarthy certainly off to a bad start, but he has been quite good the previous two seasons with ERA's under 3 in both seasons. According to Chris Jones, he had been Seton Hall's Friday pitcher before his troubles this season and has pitched quite well against UConn in the past. Just hope he doesn't return to his previous form in this game.

2nd inning, Feole allows another two out walk, but gets three strikeouts to retire the side. So far he has 5 strikeouts, 2 walks.

Feole is doing well so far today. Easy 1-2-3 inning for Feole in the 3rd.

Feole gets out of some trouble in the 4th. Still no score.

Bases loaded in the 5th, and Feole gets out of it with another strikeout, I believe his 8th on the game, a new career high. Feole has over 100 pitches on the game, so I expect UConn will have a new pitcher in the 6th.

Top of 6th, a Yahn double drives in Winkel and Prato to give UConn a 2-0 lead. A Susi single makes it 3-0 with UConn still up.

Awesome, gutty effort by Feole. 1 hit vs. 8 strikeouts...

Offense finally strikes but frankly owe our pitching at least 1 more run here. Rough day for Feldstein.

Dandeneau has been warming up in the bullpen, so expect to see him in the 6th.

Not pleased that we couldn't score that runner from third...bullpen needs to come up big here.

Dandeneau walks the first two batters he faces and comes out in favor of Poulin. Third straight game that he has had big control problems.

Dandeneau has been awful, to be brutally blunt. Giving up more than 1 here would be devastating.

I know that this game isn't easy but how hard is it to throw strikes??!? Seton Hall has walked hardly anyone all series.

Edit: Poulin continues his struggles. Yet another bullpen collapse in full force.

What a joke. You finally break through with 3 runs and the bullpen comes in and walks the first three hitters. Only 2 strikes. Just pathetic
