UConn @ Seton Hall - Fri. 3/24 @3p, Sat. 3/25@11a & Sun. 3/26 @11a

Too bad the Saturday game is at the same starting time as the UConn women's basketball NCAA tournament game against UCLA. That will be a split attention day for me.

There is some wet weather in the New Jersey forecast, so it is possible that game times could change some. Seton Hall does have the artificial turf field, so that will help in getting the games played.

We cannot knock in Yahn from second. 0-0 going to the bottom of the first.

Ah I see.

Gnesda must have ticked off a witch dotcor in a previous life with the terrible BABIP luck he has had this year.

Ronnie pitching well, but we are not hitting the ball well at all. The bottom of the order has to step it up.

Chris Jones reporting on WHUS that Tim Cate is serving a team suspension this weekend. He threw a simulated game prior to this game, and he should be back for the East Carolina series next weekend.

Chris Jones also reporting that John Toppa's shoulder is nearly all healed up, and that he could be back in left field for the East Carolina series as well.

The three innings for Rossomando had to be the best start for either an emergency or midweek starter all season for UConn. Too bad he tired in the 3rd, but I guess you have to expect it. Still, it is another game where the UConn starter doesn't make it beyond 4 innings.

7th inning, Gnesda singles and Winkel pinch runs for him. I don't like taking Gnesda's bat out of this lineup when UConn is still down a run.

Domnarski gets out of a jam in the 7th. Huskies getting solid pitching so far today, but still trail 1-0.

A Susi pop up double drives in two runs in the 8th. UConn now up 2-1.

Easy 1-2-3 inning for Radue. Still, I would be very surprised not to see John Russell come in for the 9th.
