UConn @ Sam Houston State Bearkats (Fri. 4/26 @7:30p ET, Sat 4/27 @4:00p ET & Sun 4/28 @Noon ET)

Bottom 2nd, leadoff single off of Jimmy Wang. Fourth hit of the game off of Wang so far.

Phillips throws out another base stealer for the second out of the 2nd inning. Fly out to Toppa for the 3rd out, so Wang is having some good luck so far in this game.

Now Chris Jones is saying that Nucerino was out of the lineup with a leg injury.

.-.
Top 4th, two out rally time. Singles by Phillips and Winkel, and a walk to Langer loads the bases. Pitching change

Nucerino infield single brings in a run to make it 2-0 UConn. Chris Winkel thrown out later in the play to end the inning, Chris Jones thought it was a good gamble, it took a good play and throw to get him at the plate.

Runs almost always seem to score in that situation, and SHSU has not shown they can play defense in this series. I agree with the decision.

Infield single to start the bottom of the 4th.

.-.
Bottom 4th, three Sam Houston hits tie the game at 2 with no out. Colby Dunlop warming up.

Colby Dunlop coming into the game with a runner at 2B with no out in the 4th.

Captain Obvious said it would have been nice to get through the 5th w/ Jimmy but...

Proved to be a pipe dream with all the early inning hits off of Jimmy Wang in today's game.

Due to UConn travel, 4pm curfew (that's eastern time) for today's game.

.-.
Bottom 5th, Sam Houston State solo homer off of Dunlop ties the game at 3.

.-.
Solo home run ties the game for SHSU. No surprise-they can hit.

Keep the game tied at worst going to the 8th inning for Wallace.

I would use Wallace at the first sign of trouble after this inning. He is fresh. Let's go all in to win this game.
