We know it, the coaches know it and the players know it (and that is making it worse game by game - they are pressing and not "playing the game"). Penders even mentioned during his post game last night that he told players to choke up to the top of the tape to make contact - or they were coming out of the game. Something needs to give. One of the kids needs to take charge here and change the mojo.

Pat Winkel hit in the helmet by a pitch. Second time this season for Pat. For now he stays in the game. Nope, he's coming out for Thad Phillips.
 
1st and 2nd (Big Wink single, CMo bunt single), no outs for the Huskies. Another pitching change for Sam Houston.

Chris Jones saying Nucerino might not be playing because the coaches don't care for his attitude when he makes a bad play, such as throwing helmet to the ground, ect.
 
Sam Houston State throws a ball away, giving UConn a run. Prato squeeze bunt brings in another UConn run. 3-1 UConn. UConn going small ball this inning, and it is bringing in runs.
 
Phillips strikes out, but UConn gets 2 runs with only one hit out of the infield. 3-1 UConn going to the bottom of the 4th. Kersten at 47 pitches to start the inning.
 
Bottom 4th, Chiovitti misplays a ball into a triple, then a single brings in a Bearkat run to start the 4th. 3-2 UConn.
