It's a huge gamble.

If you're the only one who thinks that way, you're a genius.

If everyone else tries to get cute and thinks the same way you do, you're an idiot.

If you can figure out the groupthink mindset of Boneyarders and select a correct answer outside the group think, it's genius.

The only reason I know is I was front row and in the highlight on ESPN.....

See my last post, if you think your player should have counted I'll change it if you have the shot you were talking about

Technically Jeremy Lamb hit the go ahead game winning layup vs. Louisville in the 2011 BET Title Game. Unsure if you classify buzzer beater different from game winning.

NEW YORK; Junior guard Ben Gordon scored a game-high 23 points, made the game-winning shot and was named the winner of the David R. Gavitt Most Valuable Player Award as the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team posted a 61-58 win over Pittsburgh in the championship game of the 2004 BIG EAST Championship at Madison Square Garden.

I felt like Gordon had to be right with how many people said it. I'll update

Wording was ambiguous, was going for buzzer beater or close to it (like Allen). But this is definitely borderline

Someone asked in this thread for clarification, and you said buzzer-beater. I think it should be scored accordingly. I was going to go with a different answer if "game winning" shots with time left on the clock were allowed.

Buzzer-beater = at the horn...or within a second or two. Not 9 or 11 seconds.

Dont see how J Lamb shouldn't count. Without specification of the buzzer beater, the last FG taken by your team to give them the lead should be considered a "game winning" shot. After the shot, Louisville went down missed a 3, got fouled, missed foul shots. Then they foul bazz with essentially no time left. On UConn's last game playing possession J-Lamb made a shot that gave UConn a lead. In my eyes, that should be a game winner.

Yeah at this point I think it's Allen/Gordon borderline and the others are staying where I have them. And not sure what the fair interpretation is

As a neutral observer, I would say if the last UConn shot attempt fort(s) the ead, as it were and there are no other made shots, it should count. No extending the game FT's, no other UConn shot attempts, no other scoring by the opposition, just futile desperation heaves before the buzzer.

I was going to use KEA for this exact reason. I would have gotten +1 for it.

I mean, the fact is, it was not a well-posed question. It needed to be buzzer-beaters, or some quantifiable definition of "game winner".

No answer will make anyone happy but final decision, Allen and Gordon will count, Lamb will not. Question wording sucked so sorry for that
