Maybe #13 and #14. Ms. Sarah will be a senior so maybe #15 as well. My imagination runs wild...You'll probably need to wait until they get #13 before predicting #14.![]()

Weak schedule in 1995, for sure. But back then, there weren't a lot of great teams like there are today. Also, why would any good team want to play a no-name like UConn? We started at the bottom like South Carolina, LSU, and North Carolina. We also had to get good consistently before Geno could look for the tough OOC schools to bring in. Takes time to build a program, and UConn took it slow and now reaps the benefit of their long-range growth.I think that the 1995 team had the weakest schedule of any UConn women’s team to ever win a national championship. The only game against an actual title contender was the midseason game against Tennessee. The Big East was abominable then and the rest of the nonconference schedule wasn’t that great either. I think that mid season games against top teams are fun for the fans and are good for the game, but I don’t believe they have any bearing on who will win the championship. Teams either know what their weaknesses are, and do something to address them, or they don’t. But those things are learned in practices, not in games. You might argue that UConn came away from the Tennessee loss this year with a new focus, but those kinds of losses can just as easily happen against an unranked team
Everything in life takes time. This is the great lesson nature continually teaches. Nothing achieved in a hurry can last. The most important advice I have for my students is, “Life is not a race. Take your time.”Takes time to build a program, and UConn took it slow and now reaps the benefit of their long-range growth.
Or, “It’s not about the destination. It’s about the journey.”Everything in life takes time. This is the great lesson nature continually teaches. Nothing achieved in a hurry can last. The most important advice I have for my students is, “Life is not a race. Take your time.”
I don't think anyone is disrespecting any other team. Sure, we have our thoughts on them. But, it's just paper thoughts. There will be some surprises this year, I predict. A lot of folks on this board have their illusions, and the rose colored glasses are 10" thick in some cases, but that is business as usual here.I think folks are disrespecting other teams just a little bit. How many OOC cupcakes are on the schedule and by cupcakes I mean teams like Hartford and Central Connecticut. The answer? None.
Consider that most of these games are booked a couple of years in advance and it's just bad luck to book big name schools that are likely to have a down year. And now it's even tougher with the portal to predict who is going to be good 2 years down the road.
Or as I believe it's about both. As a former 40 year+ coach I can say without a doubt, to start for the players it's about the destination, for the coach it starts with the Journey and always ends with the destination. I would remind my athletes many times to relax and enjoy the journey, we would talk and share the process or journey, I would emphasize how quickly the season would fly by and be over before they knew it.Or, “It’s not about the destination. It’s about the journey.”
Just remember that LSU won a NC with much weaker opponents, and Geno & CD are better coaches than Kim.People have been saying this since the old Big East broke up in 2010. The UConn women have been to 14 Final Fours and won 6 championships since then. Remember the AAC? Fans were moaning that the men’s and women’s teams would fall into obscurity. The teams won a combined four championships while in the AAC

Yeah, but Kim has that snappy, stylish wardrobe she throws around.Just remember that LSU won a NC with much weaker opponents, and Geno & CD are better coaches than Kim.
'Nuff said! as Tyrus would say.
I always thought she would have made a great manager in the old WWFYeah, but Kim has that snappy, stylish wardrobe she throws around.
