Those players with further aspirations did not stop getting coached up when Edsall left. They were continuely coached up throughout their UConn carreers. They would not be in the postion they find themselves in if that was the case.

"UConn coach Paul Pasqualoni said all the former Huskies approached the pro day as the biggest job interview of their lives and came in prepared. He said that reflected well on the school and his staff.

‘‘Hopefully it illustrates that we are working at football here at a fairly high level,’’ he said. ‘‘We hope that people in football ... regard UConn as a place where they are pretty serious and pretty committed to doing this thing and doing it the right way.’’

As much as posters here like to bitch about the state of our program, to read the quotes of our Pro day players you can feel the pride that they have in the program and UConn football. I go to the games to support these players and the effort they have put into this. Being underdogs for the forseeable future means we will have tough kids who don't back down. Hope you get to the League guys, good luck! and Thanks!

Pro Day Resuts from John Silver (some reported earlier - others not.

>>Here is what I have for times, and we will get notes and quotes later. 40 times were hand-timed. So, those are all unofficial. I wasn’t able to get all the times on all the events. There isn’t an official clearing house for media in this regard and scouts guard 40 times like it was a Temple treasure.

DB Denzel Allen 15 bench, 32.5 vert, 9-0 broad, 4.57 40-yard dash

TE John DeLahunt 14 bench, 31.5 vert, 9-6 broad, 4.9 40-yard dash

TE Ryan Griffin 21 bench 34.5 vert, 9.5 broad, 4.81 40

DE Teddy Jennings 30 bench, 8-9 broad, 4.94 40

LB Jory Johnson 20 bench, 32.5 vert. 10 broad, 4.81 40

OL Adam Masters 33 bench, 30 vert, 8.8 broad, 5.22 40

WR Mike Smith 10 bench, 33 vert, 4.6 40

Nick Williams no bench, 37 vert, 9.6 broad, 4.63 40

DT Ryan Wirth 33 bench, 33.5 vert, 4.85 40

QB Johnny McEntee no bench, 29.5 vert. 4.94 40

Gratz, Moore and Williams let their combine numbers stand. Wreh-Wilson only ran the 40.<<

Silver is correct that Nick Williams did not bench due to injury, but he submitted tape of his 22 reps performed during training.
