Spencer and Newton might both average 15+, extremely skilled and savvy backcourt. You can tell it’s Newtons team now.

Castle looked like the clear third of wheel of the ball handlers. He took it to Spencer multiple times, but doesn’t do much without the ball, and had a rough time shooting all afternoon. I know it won’t be a popular take, but I still won’t be shocked if he comes off the bench for a better shooter, or Samson takes his spot by simply being more impactful.
They have been on a college campus for 4 or 5 years. Castle has been there a month. Give the kid some time to adjust. Please.

That said, super excited to see Cam in this form right out of the gate!

Everyone when asked has had that Castle's vision and passing is sublime. Having a primary backcourt that goes 6'5', 6'7" with Cam playing third guard is crazy. When Clingan is out, I bet Danny has one of them post up Ala Brunson and run offense through post with shooters around. Fun options

For those of you who went to the practice.. Haven't seen much of Tristen in the videos or comments about his play.. Seemed like Cam was playing with the ball in his hands/filling it up in the videos.. How did Tristen look ? Not concerned but curious..

Tristen looked great, especially during the second game. Played aggressive and drove the ball, cutting through the defense and scoring easily

Nick Timberlake who?

In all seriousness, Timberlake not coming here can now be viewed as a lucky break.

We have a new Big 3, two projected lottery picks and yet it would not be shocking if our best shot at a first team All American candidate was Spencer. He was very good at Rutgers but this staff is going to bring him to another level.

Great to hear about Cam Spencer and Samson Johnson. This team is going to be formidable and very deep. Could not have had better news on those two.
