You (PC) are on the wrong side of the tracks.

We aren't playing those Programs this year. Our current roster of Conference will be better than PCs. The Seton Hall & DePaul & PC (even Villanova) ... Will try to cling to the BE past. It's gone. We will raise our profile; UCF & SMU & Houston are outrecruiting you & the other lower tier BE programs as we speak.

We will be fine without you. Ollie will be a transcendant coach. One of the best transitions ever & we'll play at a level that you'll yearn for. We are the Program that Florida & Texas wants to play.

In regards to conferences, can I have what your taking?

Ed Cooley needs a hat.
You don't know how many other posts you have made on other subjects that I was going to write some hat reference!!!

The really crazy thing is that Friar makes fun of Tulsa, and this is what Tulsa has done in the NCAA tourney in the last 20 years:

Tulsa:
1 Final 8, 3 Sweet 16s
Record: 11-8

Providence:
1 Final 8, 1 Sweet 16
record: 3-4

Tulsa is impressive. You guys should pack the house when they are in town.

I love this! These guys just don't get that you are having friendly fun with them!

.-.
Today. PC has what they've desired (and spoken by the other Catholics). Be careful what you wish for.

It's NOT the Big East. The drama. The atmosphere of the BE will never be the same. PC is accountable for Humpty Dumpty.

Undeniably ... UConn is playing High Profile. Florida. Texas. Maryland. North Carolina want us. They're not really chasing Marquette. And definitely not PC. Undeniably, there is something interesting going on at 3 new conference foes. 95% of the Boneyard will bitch with you. But the future looks bright for some new names. I'm betting a downward trend for you. Villanova. Seton Hall. DePaul. Even Butler.

Eh, it'll be in Gampel maybe. I've never been to a UConn Providence game. Were those packed? They certainly didn't have much sizzle at all.

Georgetown fought hard to keep things together before Ville bolted. The remaining teams knew that UConn and Cinci were just waiting for an invite. I have nothing against the new BE!

It is true. I am not being facetious at all while I point out how underwhelming PC is.

And FriarJ is aware that PC hasn't proven itself. And he does like UConn. I like his attitude because he is not inflated with himself or PC! And hopefully some of the sensitive guys in this forum will see him the way ConnHuskBask see's him!

You missed out, they were always fun in all 3 arenas.

Pudge, there is a giant difference in what you want to happen, what has happened and what is going to happen. Your psychosis could use some professional help. Not that that's rare for these boards but your delusion is particularly scary.

You imagine we didn't understand the tenor. We did. some of us are just bored with it.

Fluck Cuse! And Pitt! And ND. Have no gripes with any current BE teams even Gtown who fought like heck to keep things together.

Would love Kansas and Michigan State and Indiana!

I can understand your angst with those programs but you're being a tad short-sighted. Games against those programs would help in so many ways (TV exposure, $$$ and Recruiting). Consider it all the sweeter when we beat them.

Let me add one more thing. Keeping games alive against SU and Pitt and LU to that matter, keeps us on the forefront of the ACC power brokers in the event they decide to expand again.

Please suspend reason if you want to participate.

I wouldn't mind playing PC. It would be their super bowl. So it would be an energized game. Travel costs would be very low, so it would make money and result in good regional press. PC might even win a few, they have always played us tough.

Come on Upstater, quit be a pissy pants. Maybe we can play each other in the NIT this year.

Interesting question; I'll play.

Current recruiting situation?

Why would that make me pissy? It's about as relevant as losing Gomes.

The only regret I have is losing Chukwu. Losing Austin worked out well since we landed better wings and may land another soon. If we land Robinson, we'll have 3 better ones coming in than Austin. This is how Uconn works. As for Chukwu, the guy who handled things clearly didn't know what he was doing. St. Joseph's and PC? Really. Ha ha haha.

If UConn was in a power 5 conference I wouldn't be arguing the case I made. UConn is fighting for it's athletic survival and needs to prove it has cache in NY and NE to get consideration by the ACC and B!G. The short term monies gained by these games are not worth it IMO, to demonstrate that UConn, and not Rutgers or Cuse, is the team which has the greatest attraction in the metro New York area. And UConn, not BCU, has the greatest attraction in NE.

Syracuse, in their favor voted for the ESPN offer but have been rumored to have supported Ville over UConn! Scr*w them!

ND made a decent deal with the ACC in guaranteeing a certain number of football games to make the conference more football attractive. Had they done that with the former BE the conference would have survived and my points would have been moot. And to add injury to injury they voted against the initial ESPN contract! Scr*w them!

And Pitt was the most underhanded of them all as I've indicated because they chaired the negotiations, and got the offer to join the ACC at the same time. They killed the remaining teams with this act! Sc*w them.

UConn is going to add to the great name it has made for itself under JC under the leadership of KO. Once CR turns favorable for UConn I have no objection to playing any of these three! Not before. Not when there are other great candidates wanting to play UConn!

How do you know you landed better wings? You landed a better power forward and center too right? It's ok to admit that recruiting has you pissy.

Siena would be an upgrade to your schedule over ECU, Tulane and Tulsa.
As those schools would be an upgrade over SHU, DePaul, St. John's, and Providence.
Hey, how many collective years has it been since either of these BE teams made the tourney?
I'm sure UConn and PC will eventually play. But, for now, UConn needs 4-6 high profile OOC games for both exposure, and, tourney seedings (RPI) Right now PC offers UConn neither.

I don't you miss any shots on anything!!!:)

He loves to argue. Loves it. Plus he's never wrong, makes it fun if he can avoid his general pissiness.

Well then you guys are in a much better conference then us then.

He's one smart dude. His "pissiness" is mild by comparison to many I've observed. I like him as a poster!
