UConn MHOC 2024-25

Does anybody do a version of this for hockey? It’s just an example I copied from mens bball. I think it’s much harder to do for hockey. It's on the previous page.

JeannoCT is spot on. In hoops the vast majority of players who leave do so through the transfer portal. Some (not many) leave directly for the NBA. In hockey, not only is the portal a vehicle for leaving, NHL entry-level contracts are as well. The AHL is a much more attractive "proving ground" for hockey players than the G League in basketball. Hence many more aspiring college hockey players leave after one or two years to hone their skills for a professional career.

The problem with hockey is nobody really knows when many guys are coming until they actually show up. Freshman years aren't set in stone like in Football & BBall

I posted one on the recruiting thread two years ago. Give me a few days to provide an update. It’s somewhat labor intensive.

Wow that's great! I bet it's labor intensive. If I can help in any way, please let me know.

-> He’s the Huskies’ third Division I All-American — joining Jonny Evans (2020-21) and Ryan Tverberg (2021-22), who were also second teamers — and the 10th overall. Muldowney earned Hockey East Second Team All-Star honors earlier this season as well.

A sixth-round pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2022, he’s expected to return for his junior year at UConn despite the breakout campaign. <-

Losing a lot but the portal should help immensely. Players gravitate towards programs that get to the tournament. And UConn's barn is a big selling point.

Not to mention Cav's recent commentary on ESPN. UConn's hockey profile has risen considerably.

In the picture at the state capitol, one of the players is wearing a sling. Anybody know who that is? I can’t enlarge the picture to see.
