UConn - Memphis Game Thread

They are good kids and they are likeable. I think Memphis has way better players and the UConn players realize it. If you are always last in recruiting year in and year out, it makes it difficult to be competitive, and UConn has been last in recruiting for years now. So many games start out close, but eventually the better team pulls away. Then when it recurs week after week, one just loses confidence altogether, and for UConn it has been pretty much like the movie Groundhog Day.
 
Still mostly starters and they just can't tackle worth a lick
 
They’re human. You can only give up so many 3rd & longs until your psyche gets beaten into submission

I cannot believe they are not giving some other kids an opportunity to play.
 
The only bad thing that has not happened is an INT or fumble returned for a TD.

This defense. I don't have the words. They have to change something next week. I don't want to hear about youth or talent. Over 700 yards. 700. To Memphis. Not Alabama.

Something needs to change, because the offense deserves better...
 
No heart on defense. 6:40 left, Memphis kid catches pass and drives 3 guys over for 1st down

Could have been way worse too.
 
There has to be changes on the defense. This is inexcusable and total unacceptable.

Heck, I miss having any leverage at all to show up any opponents’ fans.

Remember when people here thought we were too good to be associated with these schools? They’re destroying us regularly.

Randy’s got a massive job on his hands to change the culture back to anything resembling what he first built here.
