No changes in the #UConn lineup heading into game two of a twin bill. Fr. LHP Tim Cate gets the call on the hill:

UConn offense is starting early in the second game. RBI single by Susi, followed by a grand slam by Sundberg makes it 5-0 UConn going into the bottom of the 2nd.

Poor outing for Cate, but we've finally given him some run support. Have to get out of this inning.

Lead cut to 7-6. This would be a NIGHTMARE of a loss.

God awful inning. Starts with wild pitch that probably should have been blocked. Then the umpires don't watch the runner leave second early. Then Penders pulls Cate who was cruising. Then the home plate ump misses obvious strike 3.
