UConn in the WNBA

I hope the league reconsiders the prioritization rule. This can’t be the last we see of Gabby in the league
Turkish league make their schedule for people wanting to play wnba, Not like french, spanish or italian leagues

So, Gabby should be available for next season

At least, an alumi will get a WNBA crown

  • Breanna Stewart (NY)
  • Napheesa Coliier (Min)
  • Olivia Nelson Ododa (CT)
  • Kiah Stokes (LV)
  • Tiffany Hayes (LV)

I, obviously, fell asleep on Collier; had no inkling as to how good/great a ballplayer she was.

Collier has been the most impressive player out of Uconn in the last 10 years, even counting one the GOAT Stewart. It is too bad Uconn did not win more titles when she was playing.

Samuelson has found the right fit for her talents at Indiana.

You think so? It seems like she slid down the depth chart through the season and could not even get in the game toward the end. I love KLS at Uconn but she probably has had the least impressive WNBA career among the people on The Wall.

I'm totally biased but I think their styles of play complemented each other. Naphessa landed on a team that complemented her talents and Katie Lou did not.

Megan Walker begs to differ! LOL. But you are close to right IMHO.

I think a lot of people knew Pheesa would be good in the W, but I don't know anyone who could have foreseen that she'd be on the short list for MVP, and Lou would barely be hanging on in the league as a reserve. With all the good rookies coming in next season,

I think Lou will struggle if she doesn't improve dramatically. Fortunately with the new teams, there will be a place for someone with borderline talent, but it's shocking that her sister is making much more of an impact than she is. Lou has been so disappointing.

How many teams have not complemented her teams?

Is Megan on the wall?

Lou- yes, doesn't slash to the basket, no mid range game, not much of a presence on the boards despite her height....she may not even be on a roster next season.....

Megan was an AA her junior year before she left for the pros. Not sure if her number has officially gone up on the wall, but she met the criteria. If it's not there, it will/should be.
  • 2020 WBCA All-American
  • 2020 AP First Team All-American
  • 2020 USBWA First Team All-American

Megan needs to complete her degree before Geno will have her jersey hung.

Napheesa is such a beast. What a game today vs Connecticut. What's amazing is that her scoring goes so unnoticed, then you look at the box score and she scored 26 points. What I love about her game is that she knows exactly what she going to do when she has the ball in her hands. There is no second guessing, no forced plays, just excellent decision making on her part. Cheryl does such a good job at executing plays and making her players understand their roles when they're on the floor. There is ego, no superstar mentality, just good ol fundamental basketball. Pheesa's game is a true testament and compliment to her training back when she was at Uconn.

Yup. Even LeBron and Tyrese know.

Not just UConn. Her high school training at Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis was also a big factor.

Phee vs Stewie in WNBA finals! I’ve been hoping these two would meet in the finals since the season began. Love Stewie, but I just enjoy watching the way the Lynx play, plus they have Phee AND Dorka, who I think will have a bigger role vs the Liberty.
If Phee doesn't win FMVP... even if the Liberty win, she's arguably still been playing better than Stewie.
