It drove me crazy listening to people hype him up after Summer League. He isn’t close to being an NBA player, and there is a reason most people had him going in the second round. I hope he turns into a solid backup, because I want the Blazers to be good. I feel a bit vindicated, though.Maybe he becomes a decent player one day but watching these Blazers games Yang Hasen is terrible and I don't understand why they took him over Coward or even trading the pick to the Pelicans since they were willing to give up an unprotected first rounder for the draft spot. Folks were jumping the gun over Summer League play and saying he was going to take DC's spot but he's miles away from what DC was as a rookie.
I saw Nurkic/Jokic comparisons going around twitter/reddit after his summer league play, with DC playing the role of Nurkic and getting shipped out like how that era of Nuggets basketball played out. Just nonsense, rookie year Jokic popped immediately when he played, right now Yang is standing out to me for how bad he looks on the court. It drove me crazy listening to people hype him up after Summer League. The Blazers did get a 2028 first round pick (not a great one) and two second round picks out of the deal. Still, they could have used Coward, or somebody else who can shoot while being a competent defender.
But only one has NC rings.Clingan and Flagg swap jerseys
A nice reminder that their moms were best friends and teammates at Maine, and now their sons are not only in the NBA but thriving there.

Mental illnessAnd Clingan swapped a ball that was on its way down, below the basket, thus wasn't a block.
My take is Clingan was so intimidating, Flagg flubbed the shot.

Looked like a hyperextension like what just happened with Cam Johnson and Jokic, hopefully not too seriousChampagnie on a heater (11 threes) and Fox playing well … so Castle is sitting down the stretch today.
Wemby also had a bit of a knee sprain. Doesn’t seem super serious. But Wemby, Castle, Vassell (out with injury) and Harper are all sitting down the stretch.
Bad defense from Chet here – he can't allow the drop-step – but this is very impressive from Donovan nonetheless.
Whenever Castle struggles or goes on a slump I think one thing that’s important to remember is that he’s 21 playing his second season in the NBA.Notice as soon as someone here said Castle will be a better NBA player than Ray he ends up struggling. This is why you should always live in the moment and keep it in your pants.
I've said he'll be the best UConn NBA player since he started playing as a rookie.Notice as soon as someone here said Castle will be a better NBA player than Ray he ends up struggling. This is why you should always live in the moment and keep it in your pants.
Those living in the moment probably wouldn't keep it in their pants.Notice as soon as someone here said Castle will be a better NBA player than Ray he ends up struggling. This is why you should always live in the moment and keep it in your pants.
They left out the way Stephon Castle shut down SGA in his last game against him. What does SGA have to do with UConn in the NBA?
