Training camp preview of Matt Peart by Pat Traina. I think she is one of the better sports writers following the Giants.
Was just reading an article on ESPN about one veteran from each team that may be on the outside looking in. Nate Solder was the player listed for the Giants and it said that he'll be competing for a starting position with Peart and it was likely he wouldn't win because he's been away from the game for 18 months, and he's just not been good since joining the Giants. Thought that this was some positive thoughts on Peart.

Off topic: I was driving home from the city the other day and heard Craig "the rat" Carton trying to grab laughs by making fun of Foley's name. He attempted to riff that he couldn't believe that there was a Jet worth talking about that had a name like that because he'd "never heard of him". Evan tried to jump in to defend but couldn't get a word in.

Carton's the type of dude most tight crews sniff out early in life and excommunicate. Complete trash.

Eagles cut Obi
Can’t stay healthy…

-> As for Melifonwu, his time with the Eagles was short-lived. Philly signed him a little over two weeks ago but the former second-round pick failed to show much in practice and recently suffered an injury. Assuming he goes unclaimed, he’ll revert to the Eagles’ injured reserve list and they’ll likely release him from there at some point. <-
