shoot 3s score big points. have a feeling this is the direction for uconn too

Clingan had a nice block. But also looked a bit tenative as well. Looked gassed at the end of his first shift.

Are you watching? He's played 4 minutes and people on twitter are going crazy about how much he's dominating on defense.
He had a block on Looney but other than that I didn't see any domination, he wasn't really in position to, Warriors were mostly shooting 3s that they wanted.

Probably just a huge upgrade over Ayton in how he controls the paint and calls out plays.

The Warriors didnt go to the basket a ton while DC was in. But it wasnt really a large enough sample size to say if they were avoiding DC or just part of the game plan.

It looked like both. Warriors are launching threes like crazy with 27 in the first half. There were a few times where players drove and turned away when they saw Clingan in the paint.

DC gotta get his conditioning up, but when he was in the game was incredibly erratic. Want to see him hunt rebounds more actively but the defensive impact was obvious.

So who are the current UConn NBA players:

Drummond - Sixers
Martin - Nets (two way)
Hawkins - Pelicans
Jackson - Bucks
Sanogo - Bulls (two way)
Castle - Spurs
Clingan - Blazers
Newton - Pacers (two way)
Spencer - Grizzlies (two way)

G-League:
Bouknight - Remix (Portland)

Did I miss anyone?
I believe Polley is playing G League for the Pacers?

He’s a fine defensive player, he’s just not a great rim protector.
He's a center. If you can't protect the rim you aren't a good defensive player.

He’s an all-time Moses Malone level rebounder.

He is a poor offensive player and mediocre overall defender.

That said, he is terrific for rebounding, offensive and defensive, run runner who can dunk, and as long as you don't over use him he is an excellent piece situationally.

He’s a good defender in space, anticipates passes well, has one of the highest steal rates of ALL PLAYERS, not just bigs. He can switch onto guards better than most bigs, and has quick feat. Also, defensive rebounding is part of defense. Again, he’s a fine defender. He led the league in defensive win shares twice.

Their fanbase already seems to be done with Scoot.
Pass the ball blazers. Scoot is like a wild horse out there. Doesn't play. He just attacks, and that's it. No vision, no rhyme or reason. Annoying.

They need to trade Ayton. What a dog.
