UConn in the NBA Oct 2025

If you got paid to play a sport....and have been for years, you'd be in waaaaay better shape...all of us would. If only....

Heart and lungs, probably. Bones and joints, not so much.

Agree, but at 429’s age bones and joints shouldn’t be an issue. FYI…exercise helps with joints too. And def helps with bone density

You won’t convince me that him spending any time away from that trying to make teams respect him taking a 35% shot is smart. That also takes away from him being a rebound threat. If I am a team playing the Blazers I’m baiting them into that shot and happy any time he wants to let us off the hook like that to make rebounding easy for us.
This is why we continually remind you that you are not smarter than NBA coaches.

You say this like all NBA coaches are thinking the same.

We’ve seen the Thunder, a team who just won the championship, bring in a center dedicated fully to playing around the rim.

Mitchell Robinsons vs Karl Anthony Towns +\- in the Celtics series last year…

there’s a reason we’re seeing this trend of bigs who shoot 3s getting moved to the 4 in place of guys who stick around the rim…. From other NBA coaches.

You’re unfathomably stubborn. This is your opinion. Let’s end this conversation and focus on results from our guys. We don’t need to continue to hijack this thread.

Just agree this is enough and move on PLEASE.

I could also call you stubborn for not paying attention to results that drove wins

Sure, do it. As long as you feel satisfied and stop derailing, call me whatever you want.

In 611's book, being mistaken about stats is called a lie, oh wait,...

Again, the lack of self-awareness is mind blowing.
You didn't hear about it? Anthony Edwards was the best shooter ever last season, he shot 100% from three. This season he will be Michael Jordan.

My thrice dislocated shoulders and jaw would like to have a word with you. Don't play combat sports kids. Leave it to the Dagestanis

Like to see Clingan morph towards a Bill Walton type ceiling, pretty high standard to get to but good passing and guarding the basket should be Donovan's early focus and get better at rebounding and then offense around basket. He is still 21 years old (Karaban will be 23 in a few days).

you'd rather be setting a screen on the perimeter and then popping out for a 3 if the opponent is playing an aggressive hedging coverage.
Saw this on Twitter and thought it was funny and coincidental. Coming from a guy fully capable of popping and taking a 3. Lol

What are you lol'ing here? What are you commenting on with this post? I'm confused, did people say that Wemby shouldn't ever roll to the hoop on a pick and roll?

Tyrese had a good game off the bench. 13 points in 19 minutes (5-7 FG) and 5 rebounds

Clingan had 5 points (2-6 FG), 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks. But box score indicates he got outplayed pretty bad by Walker Kessler (18/12)

Cam was solid off the bench. 6 points and 6 assists in 18 minutes. 2-4 from three

Hawkins with another rough game. Took 5 shots in 7 minutes and missed them all. He’s 5-19 FG on the season, 3-12 on threes. 0-10 in his last two games

Are we cooked chat?
Pelicans are in a really bad spot. Currently the worst team in the league and they have no first round picks next year so they can’t even tank this year

They have to fire Willie Green. And eventually they have to trade Zion to get some draft capital back and rebuild again

Dejounte Murray will come back at some point during that and will push Hawkins even further back on the depth chart. Other than turning it around himself, his best hope is that the new coach draws up more plays for shooters and he regains confidence. Pelicans are last in the league in 3P% and second to last in 3PM. There’s a glaring need for shooting

Zion is such a tough trade. No one wants a star who doesn't play.

good for Hawk that he had his 4th year option picked up but it's also probably another sign of Joe Dumars's incompetence that he did so. He was getting outplayed by 2 way contract guys last year that the Pelicans let go in favor of him since his contract is guaranteed and so far he's still stinking it up
