Cam with 9 and 9 in the fourth, not shooting a lot but playing well. Hawkins not seeing the floor.
Hawk with the DNPs at this point isn’t suggesting good things.

Wait, wait, are you saying he's worse than Tom Thibodeau? Many on here last June said all of the Knicks' problems were because of Thibodeau.

That’s what my nephew said and he keeps saying it. My response is you fired a coach that put together the best two years in a decade with no plan. Do Woody Johnson, James Dolan and Terry Pegula get together and play a game of hold my beer - good god.

All due respect, Terry doesn’t belong in the same stratosphere as those guys. His team is in the middle of 8 years of consistency and no drama. They fired their coach cuz he isn’t getting over the hump. Dolan and Woody dream of that.

Yes he does for having no plan which is a trait of Johnson and Dolan. But he’s doesn’t have as bad a track record as those guys because he’s inly a decade in and the other guys have much longer tenure. We’ll see in another 15 years I could very easily he wrong.

The Sabers have been horrible under his ownership and he just killed the guy who gave the Bills their best success since Levy and promoted the guy charged with constructing a roster that has holes all over it - that’s not great.

Buffalo fans are rightfully pissed.

I'm very familiar - but he doesn't come close to any of those other guys.

He's had the same 2 guys running his team for 9 years with great success and stable consistency. That's just not close to the other guys.

He fired 1 coach, he also just fired the GM of the Sabres and they've now won like 18 out of 20 games are in a playoff hunt with tons of young talent.

Again, you may argue with some of his moves, but he's not on the same planet as an owner as the 2 you mentioned, knee jerk reactions to 1 firing aside.

Five of the six teams who've made the IST final over the past 3 years have collapsed afterward.

I'm a soccer guy first and foremost, and... this is completely normal. Teams that empty the tank going all-out for a mid-season title tend to immediately hit the doldrums afterward. If you want a recent example, Barcelona just dominated Real Madrid in the Spanish SuperCup (10th straight win), and followed that up by barely beating 2nd division side Racing Santander and then losing to Real Sociedad.

It's just hard to emotionally recover. Only the very best teams can do it. And while the Knicks are fun and will be good again soon, they are not amongst the very best teams.
That was quick.

You just watch what happens in the next decade.

Ok.

Objectively he’s just not in their league. Theres no argument. You saw 1 firing of a coach you disagree with and compare him to the 2 worst owners in sports possibly?

I guess I’ll wait for 10 years to decide if your current take is bad.

This extended slump by Steph is pretty brutal
Seems like teams have figured out how to guard him off the bounce (stay down and be patient on his hesitation moves and misdirections and live with him shooting over you). it’s almost past a slump and into “this is who he is right now” territory. He’s going to need to add to his game to counter the counter - which might not happen this season.

Seems Steph simply needs to find a way to make jumpers consistently

Yea he's been audited, being able to shoot and make jumpers off the dribble is a must for his offseason work, his ceiling is capped without the ability to do either.

Ah, but I was told by a certain somebody he doesn’t need to focus on the shooting. Very interesting!

Like 10% of his shots come from 10-16’. Makes it pretty easy for teams to sell out hard on taking away his drives to the rim when they know he won't pull up.

If he expects to be a SGA, Cade Cunningham level player it's a must to add to his game and will open up getting to the rim again for him.
