UConn in the NBA Jan 2026

What has happened to the Knicks?
Five of the six teams who've made the IST final over the past 3 years have collapsed afterward.

I'm a soccer guy first and foremost, and... this is completely normal. Teams that empty the tank going all-out for a mid-season title tend to immediately hit the doldrums afterward. If you want a recent example, Barcelona just dominated Real Madrid in the Spanish SuperCup (10th straight win), and followed that up by barely beating 2nd division side Racing Santander and then losing to Real Sociedad.

It's just hard to emotionally recover. Only the very best teams can do it. And while the Knicks are fun and will be good again soon, they are not amongst the very best teams.

They’re defense is also just not very good right now. It’s hard with 2 guys (KAT and Brunson) that are pretty significant minuses on that side of the court.

Couple of my buddies are HUGE Knicks fans and are getting very frustrated with both of them, along with Mike Brown.

When someone says one thing and you provide film proof it’s not the case but they still stick with it, they’re either lying or incredibly stupid. I’m trying to give some credit by saying they’re lying.
That's pretty rich coming from a person who ignores any and all information that might contradict their own opinions and ideas. Do you lead your real life with the same overconfidence and disdain for other points of view or is this just an internet thing?

He seems to be really fragile, we all saw it his freshman season. He's a shooter who can't shoot at all in the NBA, not sure if it's all a confidence thing or if his shooting was also overrated. He was never really consistent.

Jackson and Hawkins sadly look like they don't belong in the NBA right now.
Can't say for sure but going pro for some young guys (who may or may not have issues) is doubling trying. It is a hell of a change from college and some might say grueling with travel on one night basis etc. Why Ollie made a long career just helping younger guys. Hawk should also be a millionaire and then some by now so not the end of the world and he has a real competitive desire which will go a long way because training (discipline) and desire are portable. Wish him the best of outcomes for him. There is an expression "you are more than your job or you are not your job" they everyone has to learn eventually in life. Pro athletes have to learn it a lot earlier than he rest of us. Human being not a human doing. Hawk had to grow up young and thrown out of the pan of college hoops into the fire of the NBA.

This kid comes from a great family and has a strong work ethic. A change of scenery will do wonders for him. I'll always follow his career and pull for him no matter where his game takes him.
