UConn in the NBA Jan 2026

Nono, the random guy on the internet forum knows way more than actually NBA coaches/staff. LOL

Only thing that's makes sense is it's a bit. A very bad one.
Hey random guy who’s probably never played basketball competitively before.

Here’s how these things work.

The coaching staff didn’t actually push DC to start taking 3s. DC has said since the combine that he could shoot 3s. So it’s something he’s invested a lot of time in. Since it’s something he invested a lot of time in a coaching staff will work that into their plans. Especially on a developing team like the Blazers.

Thats how these things actually work. Not a coaching staff encouraging a 7’ to go out his way to develop shooting. It’s something DC is going out of his way to work hard at doing so they let him.

Hurley was right to have him focus on the things he should’ve been focusing on here.

This is so performative when every piece of actually watching how defenses cover his 30% 3 point shooting says he is indeed not a threat.

What are you performing for?

It’s not hard to be considered smart with very dumb takes like these. I’m not even that smart.
Now you’re getting it!

You’d have to actually watch the game tonight to realize how immense Clingan was. Last time they played the Kings he got into foul trouble, he couldn’t afford to do that tonight because time lord wasn’t playing the second game of a back to back. So didn’t foul. Yang, the backup, might be the worst player in the league. DC played the first 10 minutes of the third quarter. They put Yang in and he gets called for an offensive foul, gets lost on defense and gets dunked on and follows that up by breaking a three then getting the ball back and traveling. Clingan comes back in and scores 8 straight. He plays the entire fourth quarter and in the last minute it makes the block of the game.

And he’s a three point threat!!🤣

I’m glad to hear it sounds like Clingan is building upon all of his basketball skills simultaneously and there’s nothing valid to argue about regarding his professional development!

Can I make a suggestion? The point of this board is to discuss basketball, not to always be right and make sure everyone else is wrong. And while I don’t know your basketball credentials, I feel confident that no NBA team has ever invested tens of millions in you, so that point has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion other than being needlessly condescending (which was obviously the point). Do better my man.

Man shut up. I’m a grown man and didn’t ask for your advice that centers around you being hurt as someone who doesn’t know what your talking about most of the time but tries to act like it.

Add the guy who made that comment to your mean girl clique since you didn’t have anything to say to him after his original condescending comment.

You make condescending posts constantly but you also get all in your feelings when someone challenges you.

It’s weird, you can’t be as definite and as aggressive as you are then also get mad when people say stuff to you.

Clingkong a beast last night! Portland might actually be a playoff team this year much thanks to our UConn boy.
He is growing in self-confidence and his teammates are trusting him much more than last year. Now that he's been in the League for 18 months or so - Seems to be turning the corner on being a contributor to becoming dominant. His hard work is paying off. Great to see.

It’s honestly more fun to watch people lie for the purpose of not wanting to agree with me because their feelings hurt. I don’t care to get along with people who are like that.

You’re genuinely an insane person

That’s interesting - I’m not watching your every move but I haven’t noticed that. I think “lie” in your words is really “disagreeing”

Most people disagree and find your abrasiveness off putting. No one cares enough to lie in order to just disagree with you. That’s giving yourself way too much credit, which is a common theme.

I’ve agreed with you on things after vehemently disagreeing on others.

I’ve also agreed with you while still finding that specific take and how you present it annoying and off putting.

When someone says one thing and you provide film proof it’s not the case but they still stick with it, they’re either lying or incredibly stupid. I’m trying to give some credit by saying they’re lying.

It Clingan believed he could successfully bring the ball up court and initiate the offense, and spent a lot of time working on it, that’s something the coaching staff would incorporate into their game planning.

Do I have that right?

That's a question for Antric Klaiber
