UConn in the NBA Jan 2026

Clingan with 15 points and 10 rebounds against the Lakers in the 3rd period. He really has become a pretty decent NBA player.

5-5 from two and 1-6 from three today.

Queue rant about which shot should be getting more of his focus.

All his two pointers this year are off of his own offensive rebounds. They never pass him the ball underneath.
They've thrown him two lobs off pick and rolls in this game just from what I've seen.

Rolling to the rim seems like a pretty efficient way to space the floor for the team and easy points.

Did you hear the Blazers analyst say a key to the game was Clingan getting the ball up high and “picking apart the Lakers defense”?

I didn’t. But I did see a play where Clingan rolled on a pick and roll, LeBron tried to cut him off at the FT line, and it left someone wide open for a dunk that Clingan was able to get an assist on.

Almost like there’s way more efficient ways to put pressure on a defense that they actually have to respect.

Almost like they’re playing well the way they have him playing.

I mean yeah,

if they have success 90% of the time they do one thing that he goes 5-5 doing and it also generates assists

It doesn’t mean that the thing he went 1-6 doing was also effective because they ended up winning

Well, it is effective. He doesn’t go 1-6 every game, as crazy as that sounds to you.

He is shooting 36% from 3 since the beginning of December and the team is 13-7 in that span. Seems like he’s effecting winning in this aspect. Cheers!

Hes shooting 30% in those wins. In 5 of those 13 wins he didn’t even make a 3 at all. 8 of the 13 wins involved him making 1 or fewer.

Not sure why you’re trying to correlate the Blazers winning to Donovan’s shooting ~30% 3 point shooting on wide open shots opposing teams want him to take.

Don’t know what you’re getting out of that disingenuous lie.

started slow tonight but now DC has 19 and 14 - I have no idea why Portland was underdogs vs. Sac but they look to be on their way to a win.

Maybe because the Blazers are on Day 2 of a back to back 🤷🏼

Must be - I was looking to see if they had Deni or Sharpe out injured, but they had mostly their normal team. Sacramento stinks but they've had a couple decent wins. I was just surprised, but you're most likely right.

Because he is a threat. My lord, you are thick in the head. Just give it a rest guy. No one here agrees with you, you are not smarter than everyone else.

This is so performative when every piece of actually watching how defenses cover his 30% 3 point shooting says he is indeed not a threat.

What are you performing for?

It’s not hard to be considered smart with very dumb takes like these. I’m not even that smart.

Clingan had a great 4th. A three, and “and one” a couple FTs. Grabbed key defensive rebounds out of his area. And a big block they called a goaltend but overruled on review.

Shot 8-8 at the line (6-9 from the floor, 1-2 from three).

Nono, the random guy on the internet forum knows way more than actually NBA coaches/staff. LOL

Only thing that's makes sense is it's a bit. A very bad one.
