Back after a brief hiatus had multiple personal things that needed attention and hope everyone is well. Still followed the season. I'll keep it brief:
1) Seem to be firmly on the bubble and it's a tossup. Didn't make it easy for themselves. I'm not as optimistic as the so-called "experts" but won't be surprised either way. Turn it on at noon and see what happens.
2) IF they do get in, they'll be entering in better shape versus last year primarily due to starting pitching (depth and quality) that can get through a regional.
3) Offense is worse than last year but in a regional variance is their friend. It's not a 50+ game regional. Short-format helps them.
4) IF they do get in I want UCSB. They were cocky and arrogant back in March and I want a revenge trip.

The improvement of the Big East this season is a big reason why UConn made the Tourney this year.

OU is a beatable host but Duke is a brutal 2. Their offense is prone to randomly falling asleep but they have top shelf pitching (though not that much depth).

I’ve seen Duke and OU several times this year. UConn is not at that level (especially offensively). However this format plays to their advantage. A lot easier to pull an upset in baseball than say football. I’m realistic but hopeful going into this weekend. They get a second life. Lets see what they can do with it.

As far as I'm concerned they could have put us in a regional with the Yankees, Dodgers and Braves and I'd still be happy with it. We're in, under the circumstances that's all we could have hoped for.
