This thread makes me wistful for the days of Randy Edsall's 80th ranked recruiting classes... and can we finally put the notional that recruiting sites know anything about players beyond the top 10 or so?

I just read that Danny Lansanah was cut by the Jets today. How did that happen??

Jets released RB Kahlil Bell and LB Danny Lansanah.
They'll move forward with Alex Green and Bilal Powell behind Chris Ivory at tailback. Lansanah was only a special teams player.

Lansanah does have limited practice squad eligibility remaining, but would need to clear waivers first so that can’t happen until tomorrow.

I get that but I was just wondering because he had tweeted a day or two prior that he had made the team. Amazing how in 24 hours things changed. Especially since this happened after final roster cuts. Sucks for the kid after the comeback he'd made. He was a good story.
