Donald Brown @ the half

6 rushes 21 yds (long of 12)
3 receptions for 17 yds (long of 11).

Dolphins/Texans game aired this afternoon on NFL Network. Edited for TV--Trevardo's two sacks were cut for the sake of offense (and time). Broadcasters talked about it later, apparently Texans' GM was in booth for the sacks, was pleased with effort. Hope this performance helps TW turn the corner there in Houston.

Ballard looked downright awful against the Giants. Is it wrong that I was rooting for him to suck? :)

Great to see and real nice for a Recruiting Asst to be able to pimp.

DWilcz seems to have taken this over from HCPP, or more likely HCPP's ghost Tweeter. They all sound a bit scripted....

Will Beatty had a great plow the road block to spring David Wilson for a TD on the Giants' first play from scrimmage tonight.

The Texans' trio--Ryan Griffin, Michael Smith and Trevardo Williams--get national air Sunday afternoon on Fox. Ryan appears a lock to make the team, Trevardo is probably headed to the practice squad and Michael Smith may be released next week.

Former NFL QB Joe Theismann impressed by UConn grad and Redskins rookie WR Nick Williams
http://runwayramblings.blogspot.com/2013/08/words-of-praise-for-nick-williams.html

"When Williams made an 11-yard catch on the sideline, Theismann said "I like Nick Williams. Somehow, some way, somewhere this young man is going to wind up playing football in the National Football League. He is that prototypical slot receiver."

4th quarter - both on 3rd down.

Pat White pass complete to Nick Williams for 11 yards to the BUFFALO 17 for a 1ST down.
Pat White pass complete to Nick Williams for 7 yards to the BUFFALO 7, tackled by Nickell Robey for a 1ST down.

2 reception for 19 yds. 11 yd longest. No Kick returns

No stats for Easley.

@MrOakTown55 is having a great rookie preseason. He was the Raiders 2nd leading tackler w/ 4 tkls last night. #RingTheBell in the #NFL

He did one and said here Dave - you do them :)

At least they are pushing the "NFL Alumni" angle - it's gets a lot of play with recruits.

Dwayne Gratz pick off Vick. Turned into 63 yard scamper by Jordan Todman! Uconn in the house!!!!!! Great run JT!

This lifelong Iggles fan reluctantly approves...

That was great sequence. Just a terrific run by todman even with the early celebration.

Watched some of sio last night. He was second on the team in tackles and had one tfl. He seemed to be very aggressive vs nfl starting offensive lineman and seemed to be giving them a handful.

Donald Brown ran left, right and up the middle for us but he is also a very good receiver for the Colts and this should keep him in the NFL.

Huge night for Todman - 8 rushes for 105 yds. 63 yd TD run.
Gratz - 2 tackles 1 pass deflection and another INT for 9 yards

Lansanah - 3 tackles for the Jets

McClain - 2 tackles

Blidi - 1 pass deflection

Reyes - 2 tackles and plenty of disruption so far (2nd quarter)

no stats for Orlovsky, Sherm or Kash that I can find

Lansanah also forced a fumble in OT. Making it hard not to keep him.

The NFL mobile app is much better for highlights this year. If you have a smartphone you should get it.

Sweet run by Todman. Reminded me of his TD run at ND - went left on the handoff, waited for his blocks and cut back to the right.

Love the run....had leon lett visions as he go near the goalline....glad he didn't get hit/fumble.....could have landed him on unemployment line.

Watched some Sio Moore the other night, guy is making plays and looks like he was born to wear the raider silver and black. Those fans love a tough, energetic player. Good fit for him and Oakland. I wished Branch played but hopefully he will be back for the opener. I might have to check out more Raiders and Texans games this year.
