Sio just sacked Romo

5 minutes into his first NFL game.

Just saw Lansanah with a special team tackle on a punt. They are all over the place tonight (tempers expectations) ;)

Danny Lansanah w/ 3 credited tackles for Jets

Anthony Sherman with 1 catch for 8 yds for Chiefs

Those are very solid numbers for the Jet's D. I'm assuming Danny Boy got the game ball?

Surprised about Todman. They have Denard Robinson ahead of him as a RB. Teams pick him up then don't use him. Vikings, Jags.

Todman started Friday night and had a good game with 45 yards on 6 carries. Gratz had a pick and a pass defense for Jacksonville and is starting.

Sio Moore had a sack two tackles and a tackle for a loss against the Cowboys
L. Wilson had four tackles with two solos
K. Reyes had one tackle
R.Griffin had four reception for 37 yards No stats for T. Williams or M. Smith for Houston
B. Wreh Wilson had three tackles

More stats tomorrow and on Sunday night. Not a bad day overall for UCONN players

Sherm had a catch as well for his new team in KC, went for 8 yards.

I missed it....but it looks as though Kashif had a kick return in the Giants/Pitt game....and for 30 yards no less. Did anyone catch it? If so, how'd he look?

No highlights yet... took it 4 yard deep in the end zone and brought it out to 25 +/-

Easley is tearing it up in the Bills vs. Colts game. 7 receptions for 94 yards so far.

Hehehe posted the same thing almost word for word in it's own thread.

Easley is the guy Edsall used when he stuck the knife into Syracuse a few years back. His current head coach probably knows what he can do.

Big game for Marcus Easley

Former UConn WR Marcus Easley hauled in seven passes for 94 yards in the Buffalo Bills' 44-20 win over Indianapolis. He also had a 21-yard kickoff return.

For the Colts, Darius Butler had two tackles including one tackle for a loss and Donald Brown ran three times for 10 yards and caught a 22-yard pass

Good write-up for both Todman and Gratz. Todman has flipped the table and looks like he may secure a roster spot due to other RB's being hurt.

Gratz has consistently been reported as the starting CB and I haven't read any reporting suggesting he is struggling or being pushed.

And Sio getting some more good press too.

Third-round draft pick Sio Moore, one of two rookie starters in the preseason opener along with defensive tackle Stacy McGee, played a handful of snaps with his hand on the ground as a defensive end.
Moore is only 6-1, 240 pounds. Coach Dennis Allen said he employed the same strategy in Denver with Von Miller, although he was careful not to compare the two as similar talents.

Another memorable night for UConn alums

On Friday it was Marcus Easley continuing to make a push for a roster spot with the Buffalo Bills and Saturday night fellow former Huskies Danny Lansanah certainly helped his chances of making the opening-day roster of the New York Jets with an impressive interception in a 37-14 win over Jacksonville. Lansanah also had a solo tackle in the game. For Jacksonville, Dwayne Gratz had three tackles while Jordan Todman ran six times for 13 yards.

Also, UConn's career sack leader Trevardo Williams recorded his first two quarterback sacks in Houston's 24-17 win over Miami. Ryan Griffin had three catches for 32 yards in the game for the Texans

Blidi Wreh-Wilson finished with two solo tackles in Tennessee's 27-19 loss to Cincinnati.

Also, in Canadian Football League action John Delahunt had his second touchdown catch of the season with a 1-yard TD grab in the first quarter in Hamilton's 37-18 win over Winnipeg and Larry Taylor had 166 all-purpose yards in Calgary's 26-22 loss to British Columbia.
