AEH seems to shoot poorly against Magnus....they play pretty good defense but she was rushing her shots today...........made her foul shots down the stretch though

I spotted a write up for AEHs sectional final,"Girls basketball: Ossining avenges loss for 7th straight 'AA' gold ball", on 3/5/17 [here] and 7m of game video [here]. It appears Ossining will play Monroe Woodbury downstate at White Plains high School Tuesday at 5:45. As best I can tell they didn't play this year.

At halftime Ossining up 27-23. AEH has 12 points. At one point Ossining was up by 14 but Monroe Woodbury hit 4 3 pointers in the second quarter.

Mikayla Coombs and Wesleyan won the state title Friday beating Holy Innocents 51-48 despite trailing nearly the entire game.

Coombs had 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Andra and Ossining play at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy this Friday at 1:15! They play Our Lady of Lourdes of Poughkeepsie. They played in December and Andra scored 51 points in a 20 point Ossining win. That said, the game was single digits at half time and Ossining pulled away in the third quarter. Lourdes seems confident and Ossining's coach is cautioning this could be a tough game. Hope we get a nice UConn turnout!

Almost none of the above was true. Hope none of you went to HVCC last week.

UPDATE: Ossining does play again in a New York State regional final game at Johnson City High School on Saturday 3/11/17 at 3:00 PM.
They play the Section 4 winner Elmira High School , which is a combination of the old Elmira and South Side High Schools. They combined both schools and created one large AA school. They are not to be confused with Section 4 AA power Elmira-Horseheads. The winner tof this game will be at HVCC for a New York State Class AA semi-final game next Friday 3/17/17 at 8:00 PM. They will play either Niagara Falls or Our Lady of Mercy from Rochester. OLM is yet another private recruiting and stealing player basketball mill that has somehow been allowed to taint the Public School Tournament.
