UConn Freshmen/Commits: C. Collier, Coombs, AEH, Gordon, Walker

I hope the recruiting coach who said MW could drive her Mercedes if she took their offer was joking. If not, pathetic.
That Coach was serious...smh! Just WRONG!!! What has this world become?

She wouldn't mention the color. I'm thinking it was Texas Burnt Orange or Tennessee Orange.

I'm sure it wasn't Geno. He doesn't make offers like that.

Nope, it wasn't Geno; was a female head coach.

Great questions by the interviewer. Did a lot of research. Seems a bit serious. If she is to be as good as her favorite husky Maya, she will need to get more vocal.

Best Question. "Do you think the UConn streak will still be going when you arrive at Storrs" Answer " Yes" with no hesitation. I think her confidence will fit right in.

2/11

Andra Espinoza-Hunter returned from her ankle injury for senior day on Saturday. Her grandmother who is battling ALS was in attendance.

Andra poured in 48 points in a 91-70 Ossining win.

If I might take an informal poll, assuming Andra and Ossining make it to Troy in the NYS tournament, how many of us will be there to cheer her on?

Wesleyan avenged two earlier losses to Holy Innocents to take their regional title 59-50 Saturday (2/11).

Mikayla Coombs: 27 points, 4 assists, 4 steals
A big scoring game from Mikayla. Congrats to her and her teammates!

Coach Bill - great clips, extremely athletic, quick release, very impressive............I have only seen MC in highlights.............how good/consistent is her outside shot? I had viewed her more as a slasher then a long range shooter.........is that still the case?

Emblem: I absolutely plan to be there if Ossining makes it to the semi-finals in Troy
I would greatly appreciate getting a heads-up on the board as they begin the tourney.

Hi Blake!
Interesting developments locally. Last year Shenendehowa (of Clifton Park)lost the public school title game to Ossining by 3 points because they shot 8 of 20 at the foul line. We all assumed a repeat game was coming this year when Shen beat Jamesville Dewitt of Syracuse in January, but Shen just lost to Shaker, who I think only has one loss so far, so it may not be Shen/Ossining this year in Troy. Shen plays Saratoga tomorrow night. I may go just to see how Shen looks. They should beat Toga. They beat them earlier. I'll keep you posted.

Lexi Gordon had 21 points Tuesday (2/14) but just 4 after halftime as she was doubled and shadowed. LD Bell fell to Plano in the district playoffs.
